The Rio is a Boulder staple! The tacos are always amazing and the margaritas strong. Had Maya as my waitress during my most recent visit and she was great! Don’t skip out on dessert the churros and dolce sauce are soooo good.

Service was quite slow and the nachos were served luke warm. I've been there before and it was much better. I think they were having a bad day.

We went in the weekend and it was prom night. It was very busy. Despite the hustle and bustle we were seated right away. Our waiter was a very nice gentleman. He took great care of us. Once our food arrived everything was absolutely delicious and just as described in the menu. We had a great experience.

Came in mid-afternoon with one other adult son. Slow time, so I don't know how it is when it's busy. Happy Hour margaritas was the best I've ever had and I have them often. Both me and my son were very happy with the food. Service was attentive without being overpowering. All in all. I will be back next time I'm in town and would not hesitate to recommend to a friend.

Really like the rooftop seating, service was kind of slow (but it was busy). Ordered the steak tostadas, which had way too much lettuce and barely any meat. Good portion size though.Parking: Small parking deck across the street and a handful of street parking immediately adjacent. If busy, would recommend parking at neighboring blocks parking options and then walking. Area is walkable.

I’m assuming they’re not equipped to handle a large group because of the terrible service our group received. Our reservation was for 6:30 but we didn’t get our food until after 8:00. Had we not been such a large group we probably would’ve left. When we finally got our food, it was pretty good but not worth waiting 90mins for.

Went mid-afternoon and the place was quiet. Our server was initially efficient then seemed to get into a long conversation w a staff member over getting to the point where we had to get up to get her to take our order. Chile rellenos were excellent; however, a bit smaller than usual.Still an enjoyable mid-afternoon (?early dinner) place to go.

Worst service ever. Been going to the Rio for over 30 years and this was the worst service ever, until the night service came in and they were very accommodating.
