Food choices/quolity seems to have gone down. Service was poor - brought the wrong n/a drink and insisted it was the correct one. After I took a sip and realized it had pineapple juice in it (I'm allergic), and told server it was the wrong drink, she still insisted it was correct drink. She took drink back and brought correct drink. No comp on drink. Prices high for moderately good food.
The service was 10/10. Very attentive and kind staff. The food was delicious, however, there could be more variety or perhaps nightly specials. Would highly recommend!
Honestly, salt is all flash and no substance. Don’t order the bread, horribly dry, crumbly, overcooked, and worst of all bland.
Drinks: good!
Food: sub par, ordered steak. It was cooked okay, came pre cut, clearly someone doesn’t know how to temp steak. For sides we got risotto and Brussels, tasty but nothing special.
Ultimately this food lacks what so many other places in Boulder can provide and it comes to you at 4x the price.
Food was simply amazing and so delicious. Our server, Brianna, was top notch! Definitely recommend!
SALT has such a great history and occupies a splendid space right on the Pearl Street Mall. It's easy to appreciate the nod to history (Tom's Tavern) that SALT makes as well. We had lunch at SALT today and were disappointed. The service was at first very attentive, then waned at our table for two inside. Worse, the food was mediocre and not up to Salt's standards, I'm certain; the Chicken Burger was over-done and tough and the bacon topping was tasteless. The Tom's Burger was overcooked and not to order. Lastly, and a matter of preference - the Catsup tastes like tomato soup and just doesn't complement the food or the fries. Hoping SALT gets the act together as it is a locally owned place with great ambiance which we would like to have on our regular list.
The flavors were quite good. A few missteps however, which could easily be remedied. The halibut had wonderful flavors with nice presentation, but it was somewhat tough. The brussel sprouts appetizer was also quite, well let's just say it was too hard in texture. Quite chewy. Again, the flavors were excellent. Wait staff was quite attentive.
Informed the server of a nut allergy at the table. He said he would apply it to our table. My Brussels came out with almonds. Entrees did not come out together. Steaks were average at best.
Definitely make reservations! The food was so delicious I literally shivered on the first bite. The service was excellent. It was a beautiful day and outside seating would have been wonderful. We were seated in the downstairs area which was intimate and cozy. I had the angus filet and my husband had the sirloin. Both were some of the best steaks we’ve ever had.
What a delight. Had a light lunch here. Table service was great. Plates were creative fresh and flavorful.
Very good food and service. Items are prepared to order so have time.

Amazing place to eat, atmosphere there is just beautiful to match all the people who work there. Thank you.
We had an impromptu dinner last night at Salt and the restaurant simply hit it out of the park! The food starting with the citrus salad to both our entrees - pan-roasted halibut flown in from Alaska and scallops served over butternut squash with bacon lardons - was amazing. The cocktails were innovative and refreshing. Our server, Ben, was spot on with his timing, recommendations and welcoming attitude. (Never once said…”not a problem”🤣…as often happens with wait staff around town.) We’ve long been fans of Salt but it had been a minute since we’d been there. We will definitely be back more often since it is one of the brightest stars in the Boulder dining scene.
Always spectacular! Service was wonderful and the food was amazing! Salt is one of our favorite restaurants in Boulder!
The staff is kind and quick. The food was extremely bland unfortunately. I ordered mussels that were basically just swimming in a butter bath with no flavor. The macaroni and cheese had no seasoning (at least none to taste) although the consistency was nice. The wagyu steak was the toughest cut of meat I have been served at a restaurant. Cutting through it was a lengthy process.
ALWAYS great service, great food and drinks and superb value, especially for the location. We've never had a bad experience at Salt!
