Of the dozen or so Indian or Nepalese restaurants in Boulder, Sherpa's is my favorite. The restaurant, in a century old converted house with creaky floors, is tucked away on the west side of Walnut St. Sitting on the spacious patio with a view of the Flatirons and eating their always fresh and delicious food is a classic Boulder experience. My favorite dish is their Sherpa Sampler, and their Naan and Papadum are excellent too. One must read the myriad stories posted on the walls of Pemba's (the owner) mountaineering and humanitarian adventures and visit the fortune telling Khumbu Yak on the front porch.

This place has been one of my favorites for years. Every time I visit Boulder, I am sure to go and get a great meal with incredible hospitality, really nice people and a fun and interesting environment with plenty of memorabilia from trekking in Nepal. The food is excellentand deeply satisfying. I highly recommend this place and engaging in conversation with the staff. They’re wonderful people! Thank you for a great experience, as always! Can’t wait for my next visit!

Service was poor. Food was so-so. But eating in the garden was very pleasant. Overall, we were disappointed, especially given all the other reviews.

I stopped here for a sober-up snack after a show downtown, around 9:30 PM. The patio is really cozy, and much quieter than the Bitter Bar next-door.
I had an order of samosas (2) and some water and when I was ready to go, the manager told me it was on the house! The veggie samosas were delicious—not too spicy—and all the staff were very friendly. I will definitely visit here again.

The food is fine, but is the worst service ever, they made us wait for one plate that it was brought at last, not recommended it!!

The restaurant has a laid back friendly feel largely due to the staff. The live music was great though I don't know if there is music every night. The food was good but sadly not really to my taste.

Very nice setting with plenty of outdoor seating. The staff was very nice and the food was delicious. The sauces were top notch. You have to walk around inside and see the Sherpa information and decor. There is an ice ax that has summited Mt Everest 10 times. Excellent food and people, I highly recommend it. Prices were very reasonable, we paid about $18 per person but took enough food home for a nice snack alter tonight.

I hate to leave a bad review but this was so bad I have to. The food was a disgrace to Nepalese food. It was so bad it was almost comical. They had chai with milk sitting in coffee containers ready to serve that looked like they had been sitting there for 5 hours outside. It’s not hard to make chai you don’t need to pre make it hours in advance. It’s like going to a coffee shop that just had a bucket of cappuccinos that were sitting out for hours that they were filling up for customers. I mean that’s disgusting. The tableware was so dirty and disgusting. The server was no where to be seen. I had to stand up and walk to the kitchen to find someone to order. I waited so long to get a check I almost left. And no joke there were cockroache, beetles, and little bugs covering the the tables and couches. I meant like 1000s of them. So many I kept sweeping them off the tables and chairs while eating. This place was such a disaster I’m not sure I’ve ever been to a more disgusting restaurant in my life hah I see all these good reviews on here and maybe they were having a bad day or something was going on but between the terrible food and the cockroaches I personally won’t be going back.

For Boulder, it's one of the better Indian restaurants. Staff are polite and friendly. The meals are Americanized but still tasty, at least for what I ordered. I've only been once.

Been getting food from Sherpas since I was in high school I'm now in my 30s. They are always wonderful, wonderful staff, wonderful location, wonderful food and they have been consistent for the 15+ years I've been coming here. An absolute gem! 💎
