I have loved this restaurant for many years. Yesterday the food was not as satisfying as usual. I think they have an updated menu (does that mean there is a new chef?). The burger and sandwich seemed different, and the fries now have chili powder. I prefer plain fries. Just didn't seem as tasty as I am used to. I will still try it again though.

Terrible experience. Had to wait 20 min to even have a server come after seated. Then he was extremely strange and making weird comments that were not funny. He was rude. He forgot to have the app come out. He never gave plates and napkins. Honestly worst server ever. He even apologized at end and said didn't need to tip him because he knows he did poorly... odd. He had every chance to do better and just made it worse and worse

The staff seemed overwhelmed during our visit - not as good as other times we have dined there. It was our anniversary and I stated that in our reservation and it was not acknowledged (didn't need anything free, just would have been nice to have it recognized), and the table next to us which was seated just before us was done and out before our food was even served. I think it was just a bad Sunday morning for them but it was not up to what I would typically expect from that restaurant. Food was fine, $4 seems like a high upcharge for one slice of GF toast but the quality of the food was good.

Our server's section seemed very busy which translated into some bumps in a smooth service, but not his fault. Overall a wonderful experience!

it was a wonderful dining experience! the a/c was just a bit cold for us, but otherwise, we loved the food, ambience, service. and experience.

Our wonderful server, Chris, gave us the best service we've ever received in our many years of delightful dining at Spruce Farm & Fish. Chris was very knowledgeable about the dinner and beverage menu, professional, gracious, efficient and extremely kind in making the birthday celebration of two of the three of us really special. Our dinners, drinks, and desserts were through-the-roof fabulous! Thank you so much, Chris, and thanks to the excellent chef and staff. We'll be back soon!

Great dining experience and fun waiter Ty. Beautiful historic building!! Food was delicious.

We enjoyed our dinner. The burnt orange old fashioned was wonderful. We were early enough that the restaurant was pretty empty so my father was able to hear us. Our appetizers were great and so were our entrees.

Nice spot in lovely historic hotel. Excellent cocktails/wine, and the Brussels sprouts/cauliflower appetizer was absolutely delicious. So were the scallops that my husband ordered for his entree. Since I'm a vegetarian, I had the only entree option for that, the roasted cauliflower steak. The flavors were delicious (especially the butternut squash puree); however, the cauliflower was undercooked. We were celebrating our anniversary, and our waiter kindly comped us for dessert, an amazing chocolate torte. Overall, very much enjoyed this place, despite the loud-talking people near our table.

The food and service was outstanding! Our waiter, Spencer was wonderful, and friendly, and helpful! We really enjoyed having him as our waiter. The food arrived promptly, and was delicious! The pistachio cake was one of the best things I've ever eaten for dessert. A very outstanding meal, and a very outstanding waiter!!

We had a lovely birthday dinner for adults and children. Good food choices for everyone, and a staff that adjusted to our requests.

Brunch at the Boulderado is a nice summer tradition. The restaurant's current incarnation as Spruce Farm and Fish met our expectations for a delicious meal in pleasant surroundings. We sat “outside” (which means on the closed in porch) at a distance from some families with active/raucous young kids in the main dining room. The salmon served with crispy potatoes and chèvre was very good. The mini pancakes and eggs were just right. Service was attentive without being disruptive.

Food is always good and interesting. Service is often very good. Plate timing is excellent. Good bar and varied choice. We come often and will continue.

Staff was very accommodating and friendly. We had ham & cheese on croissant, brie prosciutto w apple and shiitake & field mushrooms linguine in a light sauce. All very good especially the linguine dish. Not noisy-relief so we could talk easily with each other. Seated on the indoor porch.

Was great, good food options for kids too. We had come for dinner a few months ago, had a wonderful experience then, too.
