Our waiter, Max, was outstanding. He was professional, friendly and very accommodating. He saved what started out to be a most unpleasant start to the evening. Despite a request for a booth in the reservation, there was none and we were seated at a table that must have been the worst in the house, facing the swinging open door to the kitchen. When I asked the hostess to reseat us on the porch where many tables were open, she told me that they were reserved! We waited over 20 minutes for service despite 2 requests to be served. Along came Max and his service completely turned things around. Thank you Max! The food from what appears to now be a bistro menu was excellent. We will return, but not on a Saturday evening which for many reasons seemed to overwhelm the operation.

Great restaurant. The ambiance, food and service were all great. We had the salmon salad and the trout and the bar tender created a personalized cocktail for us.

Very good service. Very good breakfasts. Outstanding calm atmosphere. It is a bit pricey, even for Boulder, but it is in a hotel. I'm glad they serve midweek brunch.

There was six of us. Everyone's food was excellent. The restaurant is in an historic hotel. Fabulous decor. We will definitely be back

Enjoyable dinner with good service, good food, and dessert. Able to accommodate gluten restrictions.

We are regulars, or were at the Hotel Boulderado. We live here and loved to sit at the bar and order drinks and dinner. Since the hotel was bought by Hilton, the food quality has decreased to hotel chain mediocrity. So sad! We would switch between the Boulderado and the St. Julien. St.Julien wins!

Food arrived very late (more than 45 minutes after order) with no clear explanation of what had happened.

Cute restaurant in historic hotel but the food took forever to arrive and the breakfast potatoes were awful. They were hard, deep fried and overcooked. Omelette was good but don't' think I'd go back.

Not quite as good as I had remembered. I was really sad to see that the brussels sprouts appetizer was gone, it was our favorite! Our service was extremely slow -- took a really, really long time to get our food. Could have more vegetarian entree options, too.

This is my go-to spot for a great meal in a great location with great service...and it won't break the bank. I'll be back.

My wife and I had a lovely dinner at Spruce Farm & Fish. She really liked the margarita. My trout was very good as well.

Spruce Farm and Fish is a great place for brunch. I had the Denver omelette and it was delicious. The produce is fresh, the portions are generous, and brunch is a great way to start the day. Love the Boulderado and its historic atmosphere.

Farm & Fish in Boulder, Colorado is located within the historic Hotel Boulderado.
I had an incredible brunch at Spruce Farm & Fish. The avocado toast was truly a standout—it had this perfect little kick of spice and was topped with two eggs that were cooked absolutely flawlessly. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant had this amazing, great vibe. It's no wonder the hotel it's in is so highly regarded; the Hotel Boulderado itself is a stunning landmark with a rich history, which definitely adds to the charm of the dining experience.

I have loved this restaurant for many years. Yesterday the food was not as satisfying as usual. I think they have an updated menu (does that mean there is a new chef?). The burger and sandwich seemed different, and the fries now have chili powder. I prefer plain fries. Just didn't seem as tasty as I am used to. I will still try it again though.

Terrible experience. Had to wait 20 min to even have a server come after seated. Then he was extremely strange and making weird comments that were not funny. He was rude. He forgot to have the app come out. He never gave plates and napkins. Honestly worst server ever. He even apologized at end and said didn't need to tip him because he knows he did poorly... odd. He had every chance to do better and just made it worse and worse
