Loved the delicate blueberry crepe with cantaloupe and herb salad. Coffee was good and strong! Our party also got the corned beef hash and breakfast burrito and all were happy. Great place for a relaxed brunch.
Our waiter, Spencer, was great. Loved the atmosphere and history of the building. The covered front porch was lovely. We shared the crabcake atmosphere which was AMAZING. I had the Chicken Paillard which was perfectly cooked, crisp on the outside, juicy inside, and in a delicious sauce. My daughter ordered the steak which came with French fries but they kindly accommodated her Keto diet and served it with an arugula salad. Would highly recommend eating here!
The food is really good! The wine list is awesome; I pick my restaurants based off of that! I had the Peach Chicken and it was superb. We sat out on the covered porch area by a window...nice atmosphere. Our wait staff were very attentive. Highly recommend
We have been going to this place quite a bit but this last visit was quite disappointing. We brought out-of-town guest raving about this place only to find food bland.
Our server Chris was just amazing, knowledge, friendly - and funny! Made our dinner even more enjoyable.
The food was unusually good. Service was very good and yet not patronizing. Noise level allowed easy conversation.
We thoroughly enjoyed our table, our waiter, and lots of delicious food, including the crispy brussels sprouts and cauliflower, the wild mushroom and rice soup, roasted beet and chevre salad, chicken paillard chicken, pappardelle Bolognese, and brie & cherry chicken salad, topped off with a shared slice of key lime pie. After dinner, our favorite thing to do with new guests is to head down to for a visit to License No 1, such a unique place, where we typically go in the photo booth and take really bad photos. Overall, a lovely evening sitting by the window, watchin the world go by.
This was my third visit to Spruce, and the food has never disappointed. We chose it for tonight's birthday dinner because of the large and varied menu, which would appeal to our mixed-age group. It did —there's something here for everyone. The food was mostly excellent (we had three fabulous entrees — steak, fish, and a vegetarian pasta dish — along with a so-so brie-apple-prosciutto crostini starter). And our server was great: very professional and attentive. A big plus was the dessert — the birthday girl was kind enough to share her absolutely delicious chocolate torte with the table. The biggest drawback to Spruce may be that it has a “hotel restaurant” feel. And while the food is very good, the restaurant may not appeal to someone looking for a more refined, high-end dining experience with a top-notch wine list (the list here is pretty meh). The cocktails, however, are quite good.
I love Ashley! Great vibe, great service
We sat down at 6:30 p.m., were served our food at 8:15 p.m. We waited 15 minutes for a server to take our drink order. We had to get up from the table to go and find a server. Server was rushed and unfriendly, and disappeared for long stretches. Chowder and appetizers were cold. Expensive by any measure for what we received. Overall a bad experience.

Meh, was honestly quite underwhelmed by this spot. We came on a Sunday evening and it took a solid half an hour to get my margarita after ordering it and it was pretty awful. I ordered a second drink as soon as the first was dropped off in preparation, which again took another half an hour (this time, it was just a glass of wine). It looks like you may need more than one bartender, or one that can handle a restaurant capacity; it really wasn’t that busy. Our waiter was essentially non-existent the entire duration of our visit. We were there for a retirement party and the waiter got one of the orders wrong. No worries, it happens; he says he’s going to rush out the correct order. Half an hour later; we’re all finished with our meal and mate still doesn’t have his food. We had to find a runner to help us find it. The food was alright, but nothing to write home about. My meal was satisfactory but most of the members in my party weren’t too happy with theirs. Salt City! The waiter was essentially just an order taker, and didn’t even really get that right. For the price point of this restaurant, the service definitely doesn’t match.

Second time coming here. This is a MUST during the Holidays season as it is inside Hotel Boulderado and they have an Irish Spruce tree in the lobby and it is completely decorated for Christmas.
Recommend making reservations because they are always busy OR you can sit at the bar OR just order coffee at the coffee window.
We had Brunch menu-
Corned beef hash (made in-house), Breakfast Burrito, OJ, cinnamon latte with oat milk and lavender latte with oat milk
Great staff and fast service. Parking is challenging but you can valet if you can’t find street parking.

Spruce has really dropped. Just came in for breakfast and found they have removed their best dishes like the French Toast from the menu. The closest thing was a bananas foster waffle.
It was terrible. It was a waffle with 100% of the cells filled with real bananas foster sauce. While that may sound tasty, it means the waffle was literally more sugar than waffle. Sugar also has a tremendous heat capacity, making it too hot to eat until it was cool, which also meant the waffle was soggy.
The final bill then had a delightful surprise service charge on top of their increased rates.
I will miss the old Spruce.

A friend of mine came with me to Spruce tonight and we had a great time. The food was spectacular. My friend had the special turkey dinner and I had the prime rib. The turkey, served with stuffing, was moist and delicious. The prime rib cut easily with a butter knife, it was so tender and perfectly prepared. For desert we had the banana creme pie and we were not disappointed
We ate at the bar and our bartender, Ashley, could not have been better. We tried both the Boulderado Barrel Aged Manhattan and the Burnt Orange Old Fashioned. They were perfectly prepared and tasted great! Ashly went out of her way to make sure we were well taken care of, she checked on us often and made great suggestions such as the Baked Brie, Apple & Prosciutto Crostini which we started with. I highly recommend this resturant. And don't forget, if you sit at the bar, to ask for Ashley.
