As we were moving into this area, we decided to go out instead of trying to prepare food in a kitchen that was mostly still in boxes. My husband loves Mexican food, so we settled on this place. As soon as you step in the door, you're in the intersection of waiting to be seated and the traffic going in and out of the kitchen. It makes me uncomfortable as I feel as though I'm in their way. I grew up on Tex mex. so chili con carne is still my favorite but this place is solid. They have good chips & salsa. I always get the red enchiladas (1 beef, 1 cheese) with red chili rice and beans and a taco. My husband often will do the daily special; the food is always excellent! Excellent food, very generous portions, and the staff/service was amazing! Our hotel recommended Old Mission as we were just passing through town and didn't know where to eat. We would definitely eat here regularly if we lived local.
