El Caporal Family Mexican Restaurant

Was bummed out when they didn't have cheese sauce for the chips or on meals. Otherwise pretty good. It's a tourist area so you'll pay more than normal.

Chips were served warm, and salsa tasted really fresh. Then I moved on to Pollo Asado, which was cooked perfectly. The beans and rice were flavorful, and tasted like someone's Mom made it. We finished off with the Pineapple Cake. OMG!! It was the best!! It was served warm with a scoop of ice cream, and some whipped cream. This place has the fastest, friendliest, and most efficient waitstaff, and the prices are comparable to most restaurants today.

Decent enough, but not the best we’ve had. No queso (???) food was fine but nothing special, service was decent, plenty of other places in town worth your time and money

The service was excellent and food was even better. Everything tasted fresh, the food came out hot. I would consider this place to be better than any other Mexican restaurant within 50 miles. I will choose to come here again because of the atmosphere and the quality of our experience. Good restaurants still exist if you continue to look for them. This place is a genuine hidden gem. Absolutely incredible drove in for a Change of scenery and stumbled upon this place! This put all other Mexican restaraunts to shame!! I am slightly sad I live 45 min away!

Passing through the area and stopped here based on the google reviews. Spot on! Portions are large, salsa was 🎯 🔥 sooo good! Definitely not the Tex mex Mexican food most places have… you won’t find queso on the menu, but you will find deliciousness 😋 would eat here again if we’re back in the area ✅

Pros: The food is amazing, the staff was very funny, attentive, and kind. The salsa was perfectly spiced and full of flavor. The topper was the waiters gave free roses to all the mothers on Mother's Day. Great people, great food, what more could you ask for.

Cons: The seating needs some TLC. Sitting in the booth seats felt like you were going to fall to the floor.

Descent place. Food was on point. Kinda weird how the staff will stare at you from around corners. Gives off a weird vibe.
