Came here to celebrate my birthday and had a terrible experience start to finish. First, we arrived and had reservations and walked in. No hostess was at front. We waited nearly 10 minutes by the door and had to grab someone and tell them we were waiting for our table (the place had maybe 4 seated tables total). Sat down with menus and waited another 5+ minutes for water. Put in our drink orders and while I took a sip of my water noticed a giant lipstick stain on the glass (I don’t wear lipstick). Sent that back. Meanwhile we heard the table next to us ordered an old fashioned but sent it back bc it had the wrong garnish - a cherry, not an orange slice. They asked for a beer instead and sent the drink back. My husband ordered the Smoke Show, a mezcal cocktail. Guess what our waiter served him? The old fashioned that had been sent back! Completely disgusted at this point, my husband headed out to secure us a table elsewhere and I told our server to cancel our order, I’d pay for our drinks and were headed elsewhere. My son and I sat there for another 10+ minutes waiting for the check. Finally, he came to wait on the table next to us and I said excuse me I wanted our check. He said the owner was getting it. The owner then came over and proceeded to argue with me about everything could be “easily fixed” and we should let them fix it. I said it was my birthday and I just wanted to leave. They argued with us about the drinks being wrong, they argued us - literally - out the door. We will never come back here.

I would recommend this restaurant, which is a special experience, for everyone. However, I do have a couple of nits to pick in my review, in the hope of them becoming even better. First what was excellent. Their meat is locally sourced within 30 minutes of the restaurant, it was really special and cooked to perfection. A big disappointment over what should be a small thing was the bearnaise sauce. It tacked on $5 to a $70 steak which is a bit tacky in itself, but then it was the wrong color, not fresh and appeared to be microwaved. Not excellent. The other issue was that when we got there on an early reservation, there was no one to receive us and we had to find a bartender to get help. Once that was resolved, the dinner service was excellent. Overall it was a great experience, but the price does deserve excellence throughout. The 100+ per person reflects dinner with wine and desert.

Stopped by this amazing place yesterday for an early dinner. Food was awesome! We had the cornbread muffin with herbed bourbon butter, fresh fried mozzarella with hot marinara, the incredible maple glazed pork tenderloin mac and cheese and the delicious pear and goat cheese salad. Didn’t save room for dessert so we took a piece of pie home with us! Our hostess/server/bartender Rosie was fabulous! If she isn’t the manager/owner for this place, she should be! Beer was cold and my Bloody Mary was exceptional! This place is a must visit from my perspective! Can’t wait to visit next summer and sit on the patio after a great day on the nearby bike trail!

Sadly, I will never know how the food is here because the host was so incredibly rude, I refuse to go back. Upon walking in, this same employee, was sitting behind the counter doing something. He couldn’t bother to acknowledge we had walked in. It bothered me slightly, but I thought whatever…I’m hungry. After being seated, this same guy was going over any questions we had. We didn’t understand what “shareables” were. He responded by being horribly rude and condescending. I was so blown away at his terrible attitude, I just sat there staring at my menu with my eyes about to bug out. Then he proceeds to ask what the problem was. I said “there is no problem with the menu, but there is a problem with your attitude.” Instead of reflecting on what he had said and done, he then proceeded to seem pleased we wanted to leave. We tried to get his name, but instead he just scurried off to the back and ignored us. The management should be ashamed of such a TERRIBLY RUDE employee. We left before we ordered and I would not go back even if you paid me. Thankfully, we found an amazing gem elsewhere, The Goat, and had a wonderful dinner with incredible staff at The Goat.

Unfortunately, we encountered a VERY rude and condescending server. He was a short, thin white male with scuffy looking facial hair, a ponytail and curly blonde hair. I'd mention his NAME but, when I asked what his name was, he ignored me and walked away. When I asked him a SECOND time, he continued to ignore me and walk away. It's unfortunate that this establishment allows such employees to CONTINUE to work there. I say THIS because, I read several other reviews that stated they had experienced the exact same treatment. We will NOT be stepping foot in this place again. 11/8/25 around 7:30 p.m.

Disappointing. Put our names in and waited for an hour, was never contacted. Then finally went to the restaurant and got sat and ignored for 20+ minutes. Left disappointed

Wife and I got the last 2 seats at the bar for dinner. It was busy, but the bartender did a great job taking care of us with wine and food recommendations. Everything was great!

The ambience is great and the staff is amazing. I just wish the food matched their service. The Wagyu steak was nothing Ki extraordinary and a little, tough for medium. It was seasoned well. The braised beef Ragu was probably the best. The pasta was perfect and the breeze beef was super tender. The heirloom tomato pasta was watery and without much flavor. For $51 you get two very small lobster tails. We were told they were both cooked exactly the same but one came out very mushy and inedible. They did replace it, but only after the owner came out to tell me that it was cooked the same and that he knows lobster because he’s from Maine which I thought was weird. I told him to feel the texture and he would understand. I don’t know if he was inebriated or not, but he did replace it, which took 20 minutes. They did credit me for half that meal. We also had the crabcakes and the calamari and they were run at the mill. I can’t say enough about the staff because they were super amazing.
