What a delicious dinner with so many good options to choose from. We were able to sit at the bar, but don’t count on being able to do so. Get a reservation! We shared a lot of small plates and had great recommendations and conversation with the bartender! Excellent restaurant in an excellent city!

They silently overcharged me for $1 from my credit card bill. Not much money, but this was disgusting.Other than that, the food was OK, but some appetizer was overpriced. A single chicken skewer for $16. A male bartender was a bit unfriendly and ignored some of our requests.

The food and the service was very good as always. The staff is friendly. While the food quality was very good I can't help but notice the portions get smaller all the time while the price stays the same or goes higher. Despite that this is one of our favorite restaurants in the valley.
We have had great experiences at Izakaya and decided to take our adult kids since they were in town. We told them not to go all the way to Aspen for great sushi. Reservation at 6:00 for 6 on Friday night including two well behaved children. Had no idea every bar stool and table would be full that early. Staff and kitchen and bar couldn't handle it. Took 30-40 minutes before we got drinks or food which is a long time at a table with just water. Once all the happy hour people left about an hour later it was marginally better but by that point kids were in meltdown. Our server was great and tried to her best to get us drinks and/or food but kitchen and bar was too backed up. My opinion is don't make dining reservations before 7:00 or later on weekends or just dine during the week. It seems like a managerial problem-don't book tables and fill every seat in the restaurant unless you have staff/ kitchen/bar to take care of patrons. Not sure if we will be back, but food was excellent.

Service was horrendous tonight. What should have been a relatively short table turn around, given the fact we had an early reservation time of 5:30, took well over 2 hours. It was uncommonly poor. Food was good but ditsy waitress and delivery not so great.
Flavorful and beautiful presentation in a clean and cozy ambiance with Japanese simplicity. This was our first visit and a special occasion for my son's 16th birthday. He loves sushi so it's our annual tradition to find the best restaurant. We were amazed with the friendly service and delicious food. We had a late reservation and were the last to leave and nearly all the staff wished us a good night and a happy birthday. We look forward to our next visit!

My husband and I went to eat there. The food was amazing but it was a big disappointment when my husband went to the restroom and found one of the employees doing drugs in the men’s bathroom I think we were told this gentleman’s name was Forrest will never be back
Our food was fine but the service was terrible. Sat with empty drinks while our server walked by numerous times and finally had to ask if we were supposed to pay on the way out as our credit card sat on the table end forever.

It was our first visit here and we were a bit disappointed. The service was very slow and they forgot part of our order. The rolls were on but nothing special for the high prices. The ambiance was nice and we liked that our booth was quiet.

We enjoyed our meal very much,and our waiter was great. When we left, the bartender said goodbye and wished us well. The only negative was the young woman who showed us our table. She barely greeted us, and said nothing else. Not a good first impression. No smile. We will return for another meal.
