This was a great find. A niche menu, made fresh, accompanied with a good selection of desserts and hot drinks. Loved their spicy beef empanadas. If you're in Castle Pines, it's worth a visit.
This is a cozy, clean, comfortable place to hang out in Castle Pines and sip a delicious coffee. The empanadas are fantastic. Many choices and so far, all good! Because the family-owned and run business imports quality Argentinian flour, I am able to eat these even with gluten-sensitivies. Everything was extremely delicious and flaky. Service was warm and inviting. Espresso drinks were spot on :) the pistachio ricotta cake was amazing.

Alta Empanada is a hidden gem and unique place in Castle Pines, located near the library. It is a warm and welcoming coffee shop and restaurant specializing in Argentinian savory pies, empanadas, and desserts. The food is amazing, incredible, and delicious, with an amazing assortment of sweet pastries and savory items. These include empanadas, a tarta, mango pie, and pumpkin pie, plus vegetarian, vegan, and spinach options. The homemade chimichurri and other sauces are delicious and recommended. The coffee drinks, teas, beer, and wine are exceptional and pair beautifully with the food. The prices are surprisingly low for the high quality. The environment is laid back and well appointed. It is a very tasty and on point experience.
