Applebee's Grill + Bar offers a mixed dining experience. The pretzel sticks and fries are praised, and the food, service, price, and atmosphere are all excellent. The French onion soup is delicious but suffers from shrinkflation. The service, however, is consistently praised, with an excellent server providing great attitude and service despite being busy. The burger was cooked perfectly and the portions were large. Wonton tacos are still a favorite appetizer. The chicken penne Alfredo was yummy. The bar area had TVs with football games. It is an OK place to go for an affordable meal that will hit the spot. The 2 for $25 meal is a great value, with tasty options like the awesome burger and artichoke dip. Service is great and the cleanliness is great. There are fun drinks like flavored teas and dirty sodas. However, some items like the chicken fettuccine can be disappointing, with pasta that is not fresh and dry chicken.
