The Block & Bottle is a restaurant located in downtown Castle Rock, offering a cozy and enjoyable atmosphere for various occasions. While parking can be challenging during peak hours, the brunch menu is highly praised, and the lunch and dinner options also have their fans. The service is commendable, with friendly and attentive staff.
The restaurant features a variety of dishes, such as corned beef hash, French toast, and stuffed French toast for brunch. Some recent reviews highlighted the excellent homemade clam chowder and the amazing Asian chicken salad, which includes lots of fresh ingredients and crunchy noodles. The Sugar Cookie martini has also received strong recommendations. The menu offers an eclectic mix of foods, with many dishes receiving praise for their quality and flavor.
Among the recommended dishes are mussels, artichoke dip, salmon, sea bass, and mushroom rice. The alcoholic beverages have received positive feedback as well. The patio seating is highly appreciated, with options both inside and outside that create a pleasant dining environment. Customers have enjoyed the large portions, such as pot roast dinners and chicken pot pie, often bringing leftovers home. The friendly service, exemplified by staff members like Joey, adds to the positive experience.
However, some reviews mentioned that the music can be a bit loud and that there have been mixed opinions about certain menu items like the burger and avocado toast, which some found bland. There have also been minor issues with the Caesar salad and mussels, and some feedback about service for drink orders at the end of meals.
Overall, The Block & Bottle has a varied menu and a welcoming atmosphere, with many dishes and drinks earning high praise. While there is room for improvement in certain areas, it remains a popular choice for casual and special dining occasions.
