Limiting the competition to the local area this is a really good Mexican food restaurant. Brighter and fresher tasting - not sure what the secret is. Excellent chicken tortilla soup.

We love Cafe Rio, however this location was not up to par with those we have been to. We orders a sweet pork nachos which looked good when we got it but the chips were a hit and miss. Some were really stale and others were good. We had some that seemed really soggy. We ordered them the same as we do at all the other locations, but this time it wasn't as good. My husband had the tacos and loved them. The staff was really nice.

Came here for the first time in very long time (years) about a month or two ago and it was good the one time. But the last two times are going to be my last for a very long time again. Both times the rice was hardly cooked. Most of it was just raw hard uncooked rice. The first time I thought it was a one off. The second time is clearly just not cooking the rice. Probably one of the most simple cooking tasks. Then the beans had that dried out crusty look to them. So clearly those were old. Not sure how I have old rice within a couple hours of opening. Guacamole was all almost brown. Then the worst part happened. I spent a little over a day feeling sick and having the runs nonstop. This started a few hours after eating there. So yeah I think it's time to give this place a pass.

One word: Horrendous. We ordered delivery and the food that we received was not made correctly, first of all. Second, I had such a tiny smattering of Barbacoa as to render it practically nonexistent. My burrito was wrapped in a haphazard way and all of our sides of guacamole were brown. Third, my wife ordered “Enchilada style” and all she received was cheese on top. And finally, the food was so poorly made that we couldn’t even eat more than a few bites before it became unbearable and started to make us feel ill.

The first time we ate there, about a year ago, the food was fantastic. So, we ordered today after having a craving for it. The level of disappointment we felt ruined our entire evening. Needless to say, we will never eat there again and I would urge caution to anyone thinking about ordering from or eating at this location.

I ordered 2 burrito bowls and in both bowls, the rice was not cooked/under cooked. It was hard to chew and hurt my teeth when I bit down too hard. They also gave me a brown rotten looking lime, I wish I got a picture of it but I was so disgusted, I threw it away. And now as I'm writing this, the bubble guts is here for the both of us 😐

The place with dirty, you can't tell until you sit down or grab a high chair and then you can see that nothing has been wiped down. Not the chairs, tables, drink bar, bathroom, nothing. The food was so so at best. I will still pick Chipotle, Illegal Pete's, Qdoba, and even Taco Bell over it. Taco bell, because the food is about the same quality yet TB is 1/3 the price. I ordered the Pollo asado burrito and ended up with food poisoning at 2am through the next afternoon. The staff was friendly, but come on, clean the place and keep the food fresh.

Updating to say every single time my order is wrong. It's a joke at my place of work now. I call every single time, and hope and pray the next time I order because the food is good, but it is still wrong. Was wrong again tonight and they don't seem to care.
