Limiting the competition to the local area this is a really good Mexican food restaurant. Brighter and fresher tasting - not sure what the secret is. Excellent chicken tortilla soup.
We love Cafe Rio, however this location was not up to par with those we have been to. We orders a sweet pork nachos which looked good when we got it but the chips were a hit and miss. Some were really stale and others were good. We had some that seemed really soggy. We ordered them the same as we do at all the other locations, but this time it wasn't as good. My husband had the tacos and loved them. The staff was really nice.
Stopped for dinner with the fam and unfortunately they were out of the shrimp I wanted. the young gentleman working there, who I believe was the shift manager or equivalent, felt bad and gave me a complimentary drink. He was very friendly and asked about our evening. He also complimented his coworkers around him. I believe one guy was new and he patiently guided him then thanked the cashier for doing a great job.
