Tasty House Chinese Restaurant

We had dinner for 6 in our family at Tasty House. We’ve eaten there before and always had a positive experience, but this occasion was ‘over the top.’ The restaurant (including restrooms) is generally very clean. We were seated promptly and asked if we preferred a long or round table, and that the long table would be more spacious for our family. Drink orders were taken within a minute or two of us being seated. Our server was Jenny. She gets the highest possible marks for attentiveness and sterling service. Water glasses never sat empty. We did not have to ask for refills of any drink. We had an 11-year-old in our group who asked several questions and had definite opinions about the choices. Ms. Jenny was very patient and as respectful, as she would have been with an adult, answering all the child’s inquiries. We asked Jenny’s opinion about drinks, appetizers and main entrees. Her suggestions were spot on. We had cocktails, a Poo-Poo platter and each of us ordered a main entrée – I think all different. Everybody raved that the food was delicious. The portions were ample, so much so that everyone needed a take-home box. We declined desert because everybody was full, but the menu nonetheless had some items that were enticing. Highly recommended and deserving of this review. We will definitely go there again.

The soup was very nice the fried rice good but the crispy duck was dry and not crispy. And pineapple tasted like fish but they made it right nice people nice place.

We took my 96 yr old mom to Tasty House when we first moved to Castle Rock and she loved it. She was very picky with Chinese restaurants but really loved this place. The friendly staff made the experience a regular stop for my mom who recently passed away.

Do not order delivery. Every time I ordered delivery, there are missing or incorrect items. I called today to ask about my missing items. I was told I should call them to confirm before the order is delivered to make sure they got everything. How rediculous! I'm not paying $40+ for a meal and have to do your job by calling you after ordering online to make sure you read the ticket. I will not be ordering Tasty House again.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday, 4/28/26. As always, the food was delivered quickly and was delicious! As I've read many reviews, both positive and negative, I hope those who have had negative experiences give The Tasty House another chance. Things happen and unless the food/and or the service is repetitively poor, then that of course warrants not returning. The waitress I had was so pleasant and very professional! I love dining alone from time to time and this is one of those quiet places that I enjoy doing so. Thank you Tasty House!

Ordered Togo. Sweet and sour shrimp, fried rice, egg roll and wonton soup. The shrimp was OK. The rice was brown rice and the wontons in the soup tasted like they had spam in them. I asked host if there was plastic wear in the bag and he said no and point to it in the counter for me to grab. Since when does Togo orders not automatically come woth plasticwear. I wouldn't go here again

I like this place for Chinese takeout but want to save anyone else the disappointment of the lemon chicken. I was expecting stir fry similar to orange chicken but lemon...was not expecting fried chicken cutlets like this
