Friends, I am from the south and am forever in search of good BBQ here in Colorado. If you are in Blackhawk, you should check this place out! Let me start with the service, Jennifer provided the best service, from opening the door for me and providing excellent service throughout my dining experience, way to go Jennifer! I had the beef green chili soup, fall off the bone beef rib (this thing was so big it was like eating a dinosaur rib! 1.5 lbs!) and the peanut butter frosted chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was so good and I can’t wait to come back and try one of their other great menu selections! The atmosphere is that of an old time western saloon straight out of an old mining town. A lot of history in this building! Come check it out for yourself, you will not be disappointed!Parking: This place is located very close to the St. Charles carriage house.Kid-friendliness: Fun historic atmosphere for the kids!
What a find! Found a new spot to go dine on our trips to blackjack/Central City. Plenty of parking and restaurants has lots of seating. Service was great and all the food I tried was very good. My favorite by far was the Smoked Slamon BLT. First time having one 10/10. Also the cheese curds 10/10. They had live music when we visited on a friday night next to the bar. We loved the small town vibe and friendliness. Highly recommended.
Awesome awesome awesome. Delicious food, great staff with a smile, and amazing atmosphere. A Black Hawk icon! Must visit. We'll be back again soon! The smoked salmon is a surprise and true treat!

If you are from the south, this will not be good bbq for you. The pork was dry, bacon was paper thin, and do not order the baked beans….. they are not baked beans. The sauce was very strange…. It was like a sweet Mexican type flavor and only came in regular and hot. The best part of the food was the bun. The servers were nice and the atmosphere nice but food is not good unfortunately, especially since it smelled good in there!

One of the best BBQ spots I have had in Colorado. Brisket was so juicy and the cheese curd upgrade as a side is the best decision ever. Best cheese curds I have had outside of Wisconsin. Great service by Jennifer. Will be back, go check them

Well , our server was extremely friendly and on top of everything. The food on the other hand... the jalepeno bottle caps were delicious. The piggly wiggly something sandwhich was okay. Needed bbq sauce for every bite. The lamb sandwhich was not good lol mac and cheese was super gross. Waffle fries were okay . Maybe just an off day ? Parent in laws said it was great when they went last year

Popular spot for locals, they make really good barbecue, the pulled pork and brisket are delicious. Ribs sell out early in the day so gotta get there quick. Really fun historic building and good food.

So this is a quiet and cozy place that wasn't too busy on a Wednesday night. They were out of pork ribs when we came in. The two bbq sauces were.... different. One was very sweet and the hot one had a chili powder taste. The beef rib was really good. The pork was a bit dry. The sausage was ok, not sure if it was made in house. The potato salad was heavy on the mayo as was the coleslaw. Also the coleslaw didn't have any acidity to it.... The Mac was a penne pasta with a sub-par sauce. Over all a one and done for us
