I've never been so horrified in my life. I ordered a bottle of the Laughing Lab from Bristol at a diner tonight, then watched them open the bottle and hand it directly to me immediately after. I drink my beer from the bottle and never thought anything of it. About halfway through the bottle, something inside came to the and touched my lip. I stopped and looked in the mouth of the bottle to see something foreign and proceeded to pour it into my plate. It was a dead, one-inch long beetle of some type. I almost revisited my entire meal all over the table. I will NEVER order a beer made by this brewing company again. So so so disgusting.
No Trivia
We were visiting Colorado Springs during Thanksgiving week and found this place in Ivywild School. The place was spacious and busy on Friday afternoon. Our server was nice. My husband and son enjoyed their beer.
I love what they've done with the place! Possibly the best setting for a brewery that I've seen (and I've been to a few). Really like the way they've set up businesses-within-the-business so there's variety as you explore.
The beer was good:
Winter Warlock Oatmeal Stout - 3/5
Pinon Nut Brown Ale - 4/5
My brisket sandwich was small, but it made a good first impression on taste. However, too many bites had big chunks of fat. The green beans were really good. My wife's loaded waffle fries, with chipotle seasoning, were quite good except for the cheese, which had a slightly grainy texture and sub-par flavor.
If we lived in the area, we'd visit from time to time, but for us this was just one of 400 Colorado breweries we're trying.
Wonderful family gathering place. Food is good, albeit pricey. Beer is fantastic, and the servers are more than happy to explain the menu with you and provide you with samples of their draught beer before obliging yourself to a full pint. Free tabletop shuffleboard and dogs welcome on the patio. They also have a nice store for Bristol gear and treats for humans and dogs. Bristol hosts numerous events in their taproom and partners with other vendors, organizations, and charities in the area- make sure to check both their website as well as ivywild school for the best up to date information.
I like a few of their beers, but it seems not all the parents have gotten accustomed to the fact that it’s no longer an actual school, because they’re still dragging all their kids there. Having a beer downstairs feels like drinking in the middle of a playground. The top patio is nice though.
Nothing like moving a bar into our quiet community. Thank you for ruining our nice neighborhood.
Not only is the beer fantastic but enjoying it it Ivywild School is incredible.
Excellent beer - lots of selection. Great patio to eat from other places in the building
Just wanted to give Bristol Brewing and the gal that helped us get a keg for our our sons birthday. Was familiar with some of their beers like yellow kite and IPA. But holy crap, this beehive beer she recommended reminds me of Germany. Well done! Didn't catch her name. She was absolutely wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable of the beers at the brewery. Makes you wanna come back and sit a spell, and drink some beers. If you haven't tried their SAISSON, you have to. Thank them for it later. Sooooooo good. Thank you, Bristol, from your forever fans.

Had fun with the Buses at the Brewery
No parking, services was iffy.
What up everybody, it’s your girl Plum back with another review. My boyfriend works at a brewery, so we spend a lot of time visiting others. Grab your socks tight before you try the lemon beer or they’re getting knocked off! Bf tried the world peace death ray hazy, he liked it a lot. He even bought a tshirt to bring back to Denver. We would highly recommend giving this a visit when you come by Ivywild School.
Love Teri the bartender
