“I have been wanting to try this teahouse for ages. I have never actually been to a real tea house or seen a tea ceremony so this was a special treat. The place is cozy yet elegantly decorated. When we entered, they asked if we had been in before, and we replied we had not, so they walked us through everything. It cost five dollars per person to sit down for the tea ceremony and then the food was extra, whatever we ordered. You order at the counter while looking at the menus. We decided to try several different dim sum items. We each got to choose our tea; I chose cinnamon chai while my husband asked for the blackberry green tea. We only looked at the any jars of tea on the back wall, but there were teas everywhere to choose from. We sat down at the table they set for us with our jars of tea, and one of the young ladies came over and explained the whole tea service to us even as she performed it. The ceremony was somewhat elaborate and very peaceful and the tea was incredibly good. I especially liked the Chinese blackberry, sweet leaves which they offered us as an alternative sweetener. As we drank our teas, our food items came out sporadically, as is expected with dim sum. First, we received the Vegan Dumplings (3 pcs: cabbage, carrot & vermicelli), then the Family Recipe Summer Rolls (3 pcs: rib meat, onion, bell pepper & mix greens). Next they brought out the Juicy Chicken Buns (3 pcs: chicken, straw mushroom & white pepper) and the Chicken Dumplings (4 pcs: chicken, corn, peas, celery & seven spice). Lastly, the Vegan Buns (3 pcs: vermicelli, black mushroom, carrot & tofu) arrived. Everything tasted amazing! Our favorites were the Vegan Dumplings & the Family Recipe Summer Rolls, but everything was delicious. The buns (bao) were perfectly made & beautifully presented. For the entire experience and a large meal for 2, we paid only $45.50 (before tax, tip, & the sweet tea leaves I purchased). I'm so happy we finally got to visit here and look forward to the next time!“
