Flame Cafe is nothing like your typical museum food place. Normally restaurants associated with a museum are not that great. They’re meant to feed your kids when they have a melt down in the middle of the day.
However, this place is worth a visit all on its own. Which is easy to do since it’s separate from the museum and no ticket is needed to go in.
The food is internationally themed, with a few special nods at Olympic cities. Everything is made fresh to...
Paid for Boulder Canyon kettle chips, but got plain Lay’s potato chips. Had I known that I would have spent the extra $1 for fries. Burger was good, but the bun was burnt. My husband got the fish and chips and said 1 piece was so rubbery he could hardly eat it. Definitely not worth the money! Staff made me get my own glasses of water, even though they are behind the check out stand. As you can see, the atmosphere and view of the mountains is beautiful though.
Food was OK (had the fish) but very salty. It has kiosks and food is delivered to your table based on the number you take. But make sure you pick up silverware from the manned cashier station. Like the museum, card/visa only at the kiosks (don't know about the cashier).

Parking: The parking lot is different pricing depending on time of day but their is also paid street parking. This café is next to/connected to the Olympic and paralympic museum.
