A wonderful mean. The bacon cornbread was great, we had tried that before. Oysters were really good, very fresh. Service was on point as well
Food and service were great! Had the British Columbia oysters (raw) and although on the small side = absolutely delicious. Hush puppies, awesome. Fish sandwich = so good!! Highly recommend all mentioned items.
We had the fish and chips, Louisiana gumbo, and wedge salad. All were delicious. And our waitress kindly brought us a dessert for my husband's birthday. We had the Smores Jar. Yum!
Great spot in downtown Colorado Springs. Oysters were fresh. Good wine list. Poke bowl was outstanding. Try the potato and asparagus side!
Food was exceptional and the service was great. I ordered a pasta dish with blue crab that was just perfect, and my husband enjoyed his tuna immensely. We will be back for sure!
My Fiancé and I planned our dinner last evening for over a month. We made a reservation for the anniversary of our first date which was at Jax. We loved it on our first date and we love it still. For us, Jax is the perfect combination of casual and extravagant. The service is always exceptional, everyone goes above and beyond to make sure that our experience is memorable. We love it here, it has become a place that's full of happy memories for us.
We were greeted by a very friendly hostess and seated immediately, which made for a great start. It took a bit longer than expected for our server to arrive, but once she did, she was pleasant, professional, and attentive. We visited on a Monday during happy hour and ordered from that menu. The oysters—two dozen—were incredibly fresh and flavorful, prepared perfectly. The calamari was good but not particularly memorable. The mussels were excellent, and the deviled eggs were a standout. Drinks were mostly great—a perfectly made martini and a well-balanced gin and tonic, though the rosé was just average. Overall, it was a very nice dining experience, and we'd definitely return.
This review focuses on the food and portion sizes. The bartender was fantastic and attentive, and the seasonal drinks were absolutely delicious. We decided to stop by before the parade since it’s conveniently located off Tejon.
We ordered clam chowder and a crab cake, both listed as appetizers, but the portions were surprisingly small—even for starters. The clam chowder lacked substance and was mostly liquid, with very few solid ingredients. The crab cake, described as "large," was about the size of a drink coaster. For over $50, the portions and flavor were underwhelming.
While we didn’t expect a seafood feast in a landlocked state, this experience was disappointing. I’d recommend this spot for its drinks, but if you’re hungry, be sure to ask about portion sizes before ordering.

What an absolute treat. Definitely worth going to this restaurant. Took my mom for her birthday and family members they all had a great time. They accommodated our need with our toddler so the staff was just obove and beyond for that. And then the food was outstanding as well. 5:30 reservation. So if you were the ones that served us thank you again.

FOOD POISONING.
Ate at JAX on Saturday, November 23rd. Atmosphere was nice, and our server was great. My wife and I split one of the platters, she had the crab legs, and I had oysters and shrimp mostly. I have had seafood many times, however this was our first time at this restaurant. I ended being hospitalized due to food illness (some of the worst pain I have felt). I see other comments about food poisoning recently, which is completely unacceptable for any restaurant.

Fun seafood place for couples and small groups. The oysters are good (a little high priced) and the portions are on the small side. Make sure to reserve a table. All in all, not bad.
