Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar

Everyone was very nice, service was quite slow and there were only a handful of people in the restaurant. Beer was delicious and icy cold! Perfect! Food took over 45 min and was fairly simple. Fish n chips. Was good but not great. Crab eggs Benedict was phenomenal! But came with 3 full size potatoes that were not even worth eating. Tasted like frying oil and not seasoned. No one needs 3 full size potato's on their plate. A nice side salad would have been perfect with this dish! Free birthday dessert was a very nice gesture. Vanilla ice cream was delicious but the cookie wasn't worth eating. Tasted like a Sam's club cookie that was in the oven for 5min too long. We had a great time.

I love Jax Happy Hour. The food and drinks (don't stray from the HH menu on the drinks) were wonderful. The food selection is the best in town!! Well done!!

We always feel welcomed and taken care of at Jax... like family. The peel and eat shrimp are a great starter. The martinis are the best. They try very hard to be sustainable and health and environmentally conscious with their fish and that is huge to us as diners. Can't go wrong for oysters and all seafood at Jax!

JAX is a restaurant made for the land-locked seafood lover! Clean, easy downtown location. Quality downtown restaurant with reasonable prices for a special seafood experience. Very enjoyable and dependable consistency. Try any of the Hook, Line, Sinker choices. Exceptional presentation of tastefully tender seafood selections. Yum! We added 15 more oysters, French fries, and wine from JAX Happy Hour list as well. Quite lovely. The staff were superb. Friendly, knowledgeable, on target in creating this fabulous afternoon delight. Our anticipated anniversary celebration was all we had hoped for and then some! We made reservations with easy to use Open Table and included notes about this being an anniversary.

We ordered the ahi tuna steak and the scallops and the happy hour 2-dozen oysters and the peel and eat shrimp along with a delicious house salad and a Jax Sprarrow cocktail for our dads 64th birthday dinner and Dad always wants OYSTERS on his birthday and going to JAX was the best birthday present ever as Dad enjoyed every morsel and a huge thank you to our server Sara who made the birthday celebration even more special by offering a complimentary birthday dessert!

Had a fabulous experience while having dinner with friends last night. Service was superior, checked in with us regularly but not annoyingly. Drinks were fabulous, food excellent. I had the crusted salmon and it was fresh and delicious. Friend had fish and chips which we're excellent. My husband had short rib, also excellent as well as the calamari and crab cake. Very relaxing atmosphere, felt like we were at an oceanside bistro. My friends had never been there before and we had never had dinner there before--we will all be back. Thank you for a great experience.

The Gentleman @ The Bar Shucking Oysters 🦪 was A+ Gold Star ⭐️ he jumped back on the line to help the cooks , he interacted with me and upsold many items . Fantastic Service !

Best calamari I've ever had!!! Everything was so delicious and fresh. The staff is incredible and attentive. I proposed to my now fiancée and they treated us to some celebratory bubbles and noted the table we were sitting at in our notes for future visits. Can't wait to sit at table 61 again! Thank yall for bringing delicious seafood to Colorado. This Texas gulf coast girl missed her gifts from the sea.

Being honest, we ate here as the Irish bar couldn’t accommodate us. Having said that, I’m glad they couldn’t as the restaurant is really good. We had a table for 2 on the right hand side of the central bar as you walk into the restaurant. Service was attentive, we chose a couple of starters from the Happy Hour menu, Calamari and 1/4 lb peel and eat shrimps. Both nice, additionally we were served bread and olive oil/ herb mix.
Main courses, Tuna salad and Gumbo both tasted lovely. If you want to try fish dishes in nice surroundings, you should eat here

Our waiter couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. He answered questions about the menu and helped us in our decision on choices. I had the Crackerjax oysters, chargrilled oysters, lobster deviled eggs along with peel and eat shrimp. So delicious. My husband ordered the gumbo, he said it was good but more like a rich stew, very filling. My sister got the shrimp and grits. She liked it but said it was not what she thought she was getting. It was prepared quite different than what she was used to.

We chose Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar after reading some great reviews online, and overall, we had a nice experience. The food was very good—we enjoyed the Sea Bass, Mussels, and the Maine Lobster & Shrimp Roll, all of which were tasty and well-prepared. Personally, I would have preferred a little less sauce under the Sea Bass, but that's just a matter of taste. The atmosphere was more casual than we expected, so we felt slightly overdressed, but it was still comfortable and welcoming. For dessert, we tried the Brûléed Key Lime Tart and the Vanilla Crème Brûlée to celebrate a birthday. The Key Lime Tart was delicious, but the Crème Brûlée was a bit runny, which was disappointing since it's usually a favorite of mine. Overall, Jax offers good food in a casual setting. While not everything was perfect, we enjoyed our meal and would definitely consider coming back if we're in the area again.

This fish house has great vibes and great food. Brings me back to the marina in San Francisco.

I have had plenty of oysters in my days living on the east coast so I was skeptical about having oysters in a land locked state, however Jax offers quality service and oysters. Highly recommend for any seafood lovers who are craving a high quality meal. Also, shoutout to Kerry who made me one of the best old fashions I’ve ever had. Will happily return!
