Walking into this dining room was like walking into a 1950's ballroom! There are chandeliers, gorgeous wall paper, beautiful wall paintings, a winding staircase, valets, busboys, and a host of individuals all ready and available to serve your every need. Oh, and an exit to a view of the lake surrounded by the mountains. Once you enter the dining area, there are neverending stations such as a breakfast station with a chef creating made to order omelettes, two desert stations, a prime rib station, and seafood station with shrimp, crab, oysters, and even sushi! This was an absolutely unforgettable experience.

Called asking if there was a wait/need a reservation. They said, no need and to come on by. Get there and are told it is fully booked.

Management eventually comped my breakfast but that didn’t make it a good one.
I ordered eggs Benedict but requested pork sausage instead of Canadian bacon. When it arrived the white was uncooked, runny all through. When I asked for it to be redone the server Bridget tried to make it appear that if I wanted the white cooked, I should have specified “poached hard”. I explained what a poached egg should be, fully firm white and viscous (neither too hard nor too runny) yolk. I have eaten eggs Benedict all over Europe, Asia, and North America, and there is no disagreement on this basic objective, but The Broadmoor kitchen and service staff either don’t know or don’t care.
When the eggs came back again, they were slightly improved but still runny. I also detected a brief off-taste in the sausage, so with that I stopped eating after about 3/4th of the first egg.
The restaurant manager came over and again tried to convince me that it was my fault for not specifying Soft-Medium-Hard for the poached egg. So I said forget it.
I am a professional hotelier, owner of a 5-star resort in Asia, Plantation Bay, “a Real Resort with a Real Spa”. While we may not be as fabulous and storied a hotel as The Broadmoor, at least we know how to cook an egg.

Buffet was totally lackluster and quite frankly, gross. I was waiting for any of the manager looking folks who stopped to talk to a number of tables to talk to our table but they kept passing us by. The food had little to no flavor — meat, vegetables, eggs, sides, it didn’t matter what I tried, nothing had any notable flavor. I got an omelet and it had no salt, which I found totally bizarre. Even the buttermilk biscuit had no flavor, maybe a tinge of sweetness that I could barely decipher but that was about it. I guess you could compare the food to an MRE, although even an MRE would have more flavor than any of the dishes here. Most, if not all, of the food was cold or a little less than room temperature. The iced tea tasted like water. The only thing I enjoyed was the cappuccino. My husband could only have one plate before he gave up wasting caloric intake on the horrible food here. Our waitress was fine, however. What really was the final straw was the valet attendant telling us there are no spots left, however, in the parking garage, the valet spots were 80% empty at 9:00 AM on September 28. I am heavily pregnant and the only reason we decided to come to breakfast here was the appeal of the valet that we couldn’t even utilize. Overall, this was an immensely disappointing experience and the worst breakfast I have had at a luxury resort. Even the chairs were terrible, why would you put patio chairs inside a ‘fine’ dining establishment? They were extremely uncomfortable with their iron backings. I can’t even believe the cost because it was NOT worth it. I think the chefs need to be retrained. This is my final time giving The Broadmoor a chance. The food is completely disgusting no matter where my husband and I dine at. I feel terrible for the people who have no choice but to patronize any of these establishments.

In honesty this place had the worst service ever. We actually wondered if we were invisible. There were many people around fixing up tables, but absolutely no service. I finally served myself coffee; we served ourselves the buffet and then we had to actually go find someone to pay a bill which was never given to us. We could have easily walked out and no one would have known but we chose to walk in integrity.
I think the thing that bothered me was then they charged me a $16 service fee. Not entirely sure what that was for since there was absolutely no service. The strange thing was that a manager walked right by us to the people sitting at the next table to see if they liked everything. It was at that point we thought we were invisible.
Having said that it is a lovely place with wonderful food. But I would say dine at your own risk.

We have been coming here every year for my husband’s birthday, for years, and the service is definitely not the same. We had plates of food left on our tables and had to ask for coffee and mimosas. We also were seated next to the wait station, which was noisy. Sadly we will most likely not come back,

I had a wonderful time on Friday! Jordan was hilarious and super friendly, making me feel welcome and cared for despite the restaurant being busy. The green chili benedict was awesome and the room I was in was lovely

The Broadmoor is always a beautiful place to visit. We went with friends for Sat. brunch. The staff from the driveway entrance on were friendly and helpful. I got the buffet and the others ordered from the menu. All the food was excellent. A good variety of selections at the buffet. Most items on the menu were available from the buffet in some form - not the Egg Benedicts, though.
The service was a bit below expectations though. The staff did not pay as much attention as would expect to keeping the coffee and water filled as well as buffet plates cleared without us asking. Minor items but for the Broadmoor.... But still worth the experience.

I wanted this to be 5 stars all day. However there were some issues with the temperature of many of the hot dishes and quite a few things that just didn't feel elevated enough for the price. We arrived at 9:30am and when we started browsing many of the dishes when we arrived were cold unfortunately including sausages, bacon and potatoes. The carvery meats were also not very hot. These things add up when you are paying a premium price. Things that were enjoyable were the sushi, desserts (they had a strawberry mousse dome that was delicious) and we loved the As it stands it was lovely to come and experience the buffet however I don't know if it was worth the asking price. The hotel and atmosphere are beautiful. It might be more worth it if you arrive right at opening.

Sunday brunch. Very nice.
My family and I always have a great time at Sunday Brunch. The hotel is beautiful, the food is excellent, and the service is the best I receive anywhere.
The atmosphere was to be expected, cows mingling around the various troughs. Although glitzy and fine presentation - the substance was lacking. Seafood (shrimp & crab claws) were good (no ammonia [putrefaction]). The oriental section was good. The banana foster was the only reason the meal was tolerable. Eggs Benedict - failure; the muffin & bacon so dried out from the heat lamp that a knife (even steak knife) could not cut. Other than bananas foster, most every desert was marginal, if not poor. The $50 Mimose (waiter stops by table - pours champagne and hand you a pouring jar of orange juice - then leaves). Too $$ for too little (plus quality suspect). The waiter could best be described as a busboy because that is all his duties entailed. Most of the time I do not object to the imposed 20% gratuity... but in this case - it was not earned. Pre hoopla & praise was met with true disappointment. One of the bottom two restaurant experience while on site for the week. Find another venue for Sunday.
This was our second time coming for the brunch on Sunday. There were a bunch of choices, but most of the cook food seemed a little less than the quality I would expect for $100 per person brunch plus the service staff was not very attentive. We had to wait 15 to 20 minutes to get spoken to about eating the brunch after we were seated. Also, the staff did not come back by until the very end and I had to flag somebody down a different weight staff person to bring us our bill. We waited another 20 minutes. The cold seafood was the best part that was more before five star, but everything else was not really the value of what I expected or the quality I expected. I was mostly disappointed and very disappointed with the service.
