Delicious sushi that spoils your sense of taste and nourishes your wellbeing. Fresh and creatively tasteful choices on menu. Staff very friendly and efficient. Cozy atmosphere. Great DJ supplied music. The music was a bit too loud for talking. So a new person date is difficult to get to know because of the strain of talking and hearing. Prices a bit high however taste and quality is up with it.

Overpriced and gross. Came here for a date night with my wife and we immediately regretted it. When you see a sushi roll on the menu with gold flakes that should be a cue to get a drink and leave. The sushi was overpriced and the quality of the fish was extremely poor. The salmon was gross and was not properly cut. Chunks of fat were hanging off of our sashimi. Not a single one of our sushi rolls stayed together and on top of tasting poor they immediately fell apart when grabbed. The seating is also an interesting choice. I have never felt the need to complain about a restaurants seating but chairs one foot off the ground makes for a unique dining experience and maybe not in a good way. We won't be coming back here anytime soon.

March 6th, I took my family to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were all extremely disappointed with what the waiter says the best and most popular sushi. He said the "Hey DJ" is their favorite. We all ordered the same, as there is not a great selection of sushi. I honestly feel like that sushi is NO DIFFERENT than sushi at grocery stores. They were extremely small (smaller than supermarket sushi), no special taste. To pay $22 for grocery style sushi is extremely expensive for such tiny sushi. The appetizers: Scallop Crudo and the Tuna Trio Shooters were good. This restaurant has lots of potential as the view of Pikes Peak is outstanding, and the ambience is really nice. They need to experiment with more sushi and larger size sushi.

I am not one to leave Google reviews BUT I have to share what a ? of a restaurant I found today?? Pause Ultra Lounge and Sushi Bar! Wow, it’s a new restaurant 4 months old and hand down best sushi I have had in the springs! So fresh and a explostion of flavor with every bit? I highly recommend giving this place a try the cocktail where just as great and created with love and excitement ? all of this that I am posting was only $57 which is amazingly priced!

The staff here were so nice and welcoming. I was visiting Colorado Springs and all recommendations provided during my trip were very tasty and made the time in the restaurant pleasant.

We went here for my birthday dinner over the weekend. We had reservations, our server was very nice and friendly and we had good service. The sushi was excellent but the chairs are really low to the table proximity and since I'm short it made it a little difficult. I also was told I'd get a birthday dessert or drink on them and did not receive any which I was a little disappointed about. Also one of the bartenders told me that the restroom was downstairs and it wasn't so I had to use one at Longboard Tacos, meanwhile finding out they have one in the pulse lounge. Other than that we enjoyed our overall experience. We met the owner and enjoyed seeing all the great restaurants in the same area. We will come back minus the few thing's we encountered during our visit.

Incredibly underwhelmed. Waited 45 minutes to be sat for our 5:30p reservation. Minimal lighting with black walls, felt claustrophobic and like more of a nightclub scene than anything else. Sushi rolls fell apart as soon as they were picked up and were oddly served on a communal platter.

My husband and I visited Pause on a late night search for somewhere new. Pause is a smaller establishment, with extremely low lights. So low that they have menus that light up and individual lights at tables. The atmosphere however is relaxing, with comfortable padded chairs and a modern touch. My husband and I were iffy at first because of the rowdy crowd that was there. But after we received our appetizer of the "shooters" we knew we had to try more. The menu is pleasingly small. The food is outstanding. Pause has the cleanest and tastiest raw fish that I've ever tasted in Colorado Springs. Our server was very charismatic and wonderful. She was the only one working every table and she still gave us great service. Not only that, she was very knowledgeable and if she didn't know something she would make sure to ask the sushi chefs.I recommend this for anyone who likes a late night sushi dinner, and for people that don't mind a louder crowd .Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator that can take you up to the second floor where Pause is located.

I put 4 starts because this restaurant is not child friendly. They don't offer teriyaki chicken type of food something kids can eat or would love to eat. However the food is amazing! This restaurant is absolutely for a date night restaurant! Nice and elegant.

Pros: Ambience and cocktails Cons: It took 50 minutes and multiple checks for ONE sushi roll to arrive. The bartender was rude when we expressed our frustration. Would be great for this place to be successful however the food/service is the issue. We won't return.

Made a 6:15 reservation for NYE several days in advance, but when I arrived they said: "sorry, we're pretty booked up. You can sit at the bar". I said: "yes, I know. That's why I made a reservation". Several tables were open but they sat us at the bar anyway. I don't get it. What's the point of taking reservations if you're not going to honor them? I could have made a reservation somewhere else if I'd known. I guess now I know. The food was ok, but the atmosphere is a bit too night-club-y for my taste. Between the atmosphere and terrible service, I won't be going back.
