The food is so fresh and large servings. Very affordable. Service was great. Went to celebrate my mother in laws birthday. Didnt even have to say it qas her birthday. I made a comment about her getting her birthday margarita and after dinner they came out with fried ice cream and sang to her. Amazing place for dinner.

The food itself was good as usual, just a bit messy, but the service has changed for the worse. I’ve been coming here for 17 years and ordering the same thing: a kids chicken quesadilla with no beans, rice on the side, and a Coke with no ice. This order has never caused issues in the past.
On this visit, I ordered a Coke with no ice due to a medical condition, and it was served with ice. I tried to overlook that as a simple mistake. I then ordered the kids chicken quesadilla with no beans, emphasizing “kids” to avoid confusion. The server brought me the adult portion instead. The adult quesadilla includes tomatoes, which I have a medical intolerance to and can get very sick from. It also comes with eight slices instead of the smaller kids portion I requested.
I attempted to correct the mistake, but the server left before I could say anything and did not return until bringing the check. He left again immediately, giving me no opportunity to address the issue.
Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I don’t think I personally will be returning, as I can’t risk this happening again. The rest of my party might continue going as theyve been going there for 20+ years.
The food is really good. But the server brought us another tables food... However I do understand how overwhelming waitressing can get. So no harm no foul. She was most certainly on to of making sure our drinks never emptied 🙂 and that I appreciate.
Excellent service, food, and pricing
There are restaurants with great food, and then there are restaurants that create memories. Pueblo Viejo absolutely did both.
From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew we were in for something special. The incredible aroma of authentic Mexican food filled the restaurant, and every staff member who greeted us made us feel genuinely welcome. The atmosphere immediately felt warm, inviting, and like being welcomed into someone’s home.
Our server, Monica, truly made the evening unforgettable. She is, without question, one of the kindest and most attentive servers I’ve ever had. She was friendly, personable, and always one step ahead of anything we needed. Despite the restaurant being busy, our food came out incredibly fast, and every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.
We happened to be celebrating my birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it an occasion I’ll never forget. Their birthday celebration was so much fun and made me feel genuinely celebrated. It wasn’t something they had to do—it was clear they wanted to make my day special, and they absolutely succeeded.
What stood out the most was the feeling of family. Every interaction with the staff felt sincere, and you could tell everyone truly cared about creating a great experience for their guests. That kind of hospitality is rare these days, and Pueblo Viejo has mastered it.
To Monica and the entire staff: thank you for making my birthday one of the best I’ve had. Your kindness, outstanding service, and amazing food turned dinner into a memory we’ll be talking about for a long time.
If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, exceptional service, and a restaurant that treats you like family, Pueblo Viejo is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back!

From out of town, stopped in for some dinner with my family. Atmosphere is wonderful, was sat right away. After reviewing the menu we placed our order. It took a very long time to get our food. Staff was about refilling our drinks and chips and salsa, but by the time our food arrived we were full from the drinks and chips. I had ordered the three chicken enchiladas, which came with beans and rice. The enchiladas and beans were good, rice was very dry. Price was a littleon the higherside, for a family of four we spent $68 before taxes and tip, we only ordered 2 entrees, the two teens with us shared an appetizer.
Don’t go here if you’re in a hurry. Took sooo long to get our food. They’re good about bringing chips and salsa while you wait but who wants to get full before food even comes out. Seasoning in the ground beef in the taco was too tomato tasting, almost like spaghetti sauce. Bean tostada was ok. Cheese enchilada would’ve been better if it were a little melted. Was just a solid clump of cold cheese inside. Enchilada sauce had good flavor though. Salsa good. The restaurant itself is pretty inside.

The food here is decent i guess, but it’s a complete rip off compared to other mexican food places in the area (Mi Mexico)… my favorite part of going out for mexican food is the chips and salsa while browsing the menu and sipping a margarita, not here though… for a table of two they will only give you one tiny bowl of salsa and a small basket of chips…. Thats it, anything additional they will charge you for. Super crappy for a mexican food restaurant if you ask me. Mi Mexico is literally right down the road and they will refill your salsa as much as you want and the food is just as good. Cant recommend this place when none of the other places in the area are chinchy like this

My family loves this place! My mom has Alzheimer’s and is in a wheelchair and everyone helps us get into the restaurant, seated comfortably, and served promptly. The food is always delicious and servings are big enough for leftovers!
