The elephants are suffering horribly. Send them to a decent sanctuary! Your greed and carelessness is appalling.

BEST. ZOO. EVER! Animals are happy and well-cared for. Animal care staff are professional and very dedicated to the welfare of all animals.

I visited the zoo in May of 2024 while I was with my son & dil. The penguin exhibit & the giraffes were amazing. We feed the giraffes which was so much fun. The whole zoo was well maintained & the exhibits were beautiful. It is nice they only sell so many tickets a day so you were able to see all the animals & get close up without having to deal with overly large crowds. I would definitely recommend, I’d like to make a return trip when I visit my son & dil again.

We love our Boo at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo! The Giraffe exhibit is absolutely the coolest I have ever seen!! The views from the entire Zoo are ridiculously incredible!!! The only place that really seems to need improvement is the reptile areas. The exhibits are not really appropriate for the animals in them, and could easily be altered and enlarged. I hope they will revisit the original reptile house plans that used to exist here because it was magical so I am sorry that part has gone! But, We always enjoy our visits 🫶🏼🦒

The WORST Service ever!! It took 30 min of waiting after I ordered and paid for food only to be told that they ran out of the brisket. I was sitting near the pick up area and saw that they gave the last of the brisket to someone that was behind me in line and number. Do not go here. Go to the pizza place next door.

My family came here for my husbands birthday to enjoy the animals. And we did love the giraffes. But as we continued to wonder through the zoo, we came upon several enclosures that were too small for the animals that were in them. I normally love seeing the animals, but most seemed to be not enjoying themselves. My biggest concern was actually the reptiles. It was sad to see snakes and reptiles in too small of cages. We have some of the same reptiles as our own and ours have bigger cages. The snakes had no place to hide and a lot of the decorations were not natural. There was lots of room for improvement. There as also little food options and it was extremely crowded. It seemed obvious that the zoo was more interested in charging us to feed the animals, than actually giving them the environment the animals needed.

one of the better zoo's I've been to, but have to take away a star (if there was one) because when it was raining and downpouring we (along with others) were getting out of the rain in an event building and they said "sorry, you have to get out because there is an event later". really? nobody was making a mess, we were all just trying to stay dry for the half hour or so of rain... the employee was nice about it, but how about just saying "keep in mind we have an event later so please don't make a mess"

Extremely poor service. Waited for over 30 min for them to give our food to someone else… Didn’t even get to try the food, probably with the way this place is run I can guess it won’t be very good.

My kids always have a great time here. The giraffe feeding and elephant feeding experience is wonderful!

Had the burnt ends/extra moist it was delicious w some mustard BBQ sauce. Good cornbread and pickles. Beautiful view. Hard to beat the experience. Would definitely return.

Smoked wings were a little dry to my taste…all other food was great…price wasn’t outrageous…maybe what you’d pay in DoorDash…we (4 of us) were very stuffed. For a regular somewhat hungry person you only need 1 protein meal. Oh and the spicy mac and cheese or whatever it’s called is really spicy…the bbq greens were good (1 protein meal, 2 protein meal, pretzel, Diet Coke; around $55)

Worst food experience I’ve ever had. Food was cold and might as well have been boiled. I’m not sure what they even did to “prepare” the food given it was brought out cold. We couldn’t eat it.The staff is very nice though which is the only reason I didn’t ask for a refund.
