I love love love this place BUT your meals are way too expensive - you would get more of my money if you were cheaper, I would be able to go more often. Your set-up for the new location is yuck- I preferred the booths you had at your last place. You said you hated it but I don't care because it was more authentic and felt more comfortable than the chairs and tables you have now. It also takes a long time to wait for meals to be made; I have literally had to walk out without purchasing because I didn't have 30+ minutes to wait. If you had the booths back, I would wait.

Nothing fancy but good German food. Good selection. They also sell some German grocery. Brings back good memories of being in Germany.

Best German food in Springs

Everything was good on my first visit. Second visit (which was two days later) the sign on door says they open at 8am. I was there at 8:15 am Tuesday morning and no one was there. Kinda bad business practice to not be open when you say you are supposed to be.

I try really hard to be supportive of small businesses but that is really hard to do when they still disappoint. We've been in a few times and we know everything is cooked at time of order so no big deal...we place a call ahead order should help this, right? No. We asked to have our meal prepared for pickup at 12:40 pm. I walk in and im told they're just starting to make the order at 12:40 pm. There were a few orders ahead of mine that put them behind. Um, okay isnt that why I asked if you could do it by 12:40? Okay, fine go ahead and just start making it. 20 minutes later its now 1 pm and the order still isn't ready when I walk back in the second time. And now they're out of the side choice we requested for three of our dishes. I know today may have been busy because its a holiday but its really hard to support a small business when they didnt even seem to care the order was late and they didn't have our preferred side. Had I wanted to replace the side with fried potatoes for example I would have been waiting another 10 minutes plus after 20 already. The food is generally very well prepared too which is why we try to keep giving it a shot...please try to have some empathy when these things happen it goes a long way.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Springs! They always make me feel welcome and have the most authentic German food! Don't forget to grab a dessert while you're there.

We like stopping here for lunch when we're in the area. Nice place for a tasty German lunch, many schitzels to chose from; also enjoy the garlic french fries with curry catsup. They've always checked to make sure we're enjoying our food. Lastly, its hard to resist picking up an item or two from their little European market.

The spatzle taste like oil, not boiled potato dumplings.

Don't miss this German deli! The food is delicious. The best Reuben sandwich. Really. The meat, the kraut, the cheese, and the rye bread were all top notch. And the spatzle... amazing! Tender, toothsome, and delicious. The red cabbage was a little sweet with an interesting spice that was different in a good way. Portions are generous. People were friendly and efficient. The gelato and desserts looked great, but not didn't leave room. I'll definitely try to leave room next time ๐Ÿ˜
