1 star. I’d give 0 if I could. Came in for a dozen kolaches. I want to start saying the kolaches are nothing like Texas. They are also almost triple the price of Texas chains. $40 for 12 kolaches is disrespectful as hell especially when yalls dough is half the size.I’d also like to add I came through the drive through and sat there for 30min. When I came inside the kid working was jamming music not paying any attention to the drive through.100% my favorite breakfast spot in Texas and I will never come to this location again for the experience to be ruined the way it was.

Growing up in the south and visiting now and then, Shipley is our goto for donuts. However, here in Colorado Springs they must be smoking something. $22 for a dozen of donuts they prepacked the night before. That wouldn't fly at the Shipleys in the south.I used to be able to buy donuts for the shop for cheap, but now I have to look elsewhere. Don't read this as a decade ago, you can search images of menus and not even a year ago prices are half what they are in the South. The altitude has gone to their head here.

Disappointed with this location. They seldom have the donuts I'm wanting. Seem to always be out of something, regardless of the time of day.

First the donuts are always amazing. Is fresh and amazing every single time. Then we can talk about this staff, They crush it and make you feel like it's the right place to be. We've started using them for company events.

Ordered from GrubHub, on a Sunday morning during church rush, and everything was great. Large, fresh donuts that taste good. I truly think people just look for things to complain about… give them a break and let them settle into a new business for this area for a bit. I’m from Texas, but have lived in CO 45+, years and it’s so annoying to see all the posts from “Texans” complaining and comparing to Shipley’s in TX. It’s really fine if you want to go back to Texas and eat donuts there lol. Also stop calling people out by name. They’re trying to make a living and no one should be publicly shamed. If you’ve ever had a bad day at work, or have any empathy, take it easy in the Google reviews.

Very underwhelming just another high price standard donut. For the cost I could have gotten twice the amount and half the disappointment at dunkin donuts.

I just stopped at Shipley off of Interquest in N. Colorado Springs. It was at about 2pm.I was greeted by a nice young guy and I asked him what his favorite do-nut was. He suggested the raised with a Cherry or Strawberry icing. I got the cherry iced, a glazed buttermilk and a cinnamon roll.I got in my truck and within about 40 seconds was taking a bite out of the Cherry raised. First impression: Texture of a day old do-nut. Second impression: no flavor in the do-nut or in the icing, which was ironic as the reason for the young guy’s recommendation of that particular confection was the “real flavoring” they used. Ok - ate half and moved on to the glazed buttermilk. This one was tasty enough and fresher than the first one. A solid “B plus” or “A”.The last one was the most intriguing one for me: a hefty glazed cinnamon roll. I pulled off a piece of it: a touch of crunch at the edge, doughy, but not in a bad way, sweet, but not too much. Maybe this would be worth the $3.79? Second piece: noticed a little film build up in my mouth… too much grease? I had, after all, just had a buttermilk donut… Third torn off piece: my mouth was thickly coated with… what? Grease? Flour? Both??All I can say is, my best guess is undercooked both. I never ate paste as a kid, but I imagine this is what it was like. It coated my mouth and tongue in the most unpleasant way. I actually chewed the icing off the remaining cherry raised donut in hopes of it cutting through the gak that was smothering my mouth. Didn’t work. In ten minutes I was home and made myself a cup of coffee to cut through it. It has taken five swigs to remove the majority of whatever it was.I don’t write nasty-grams often. I’ve done a few in my 60 plus years, but it has to be a pretty notable experience, which this was. I truly hope this was a one-off bad product day for these folks, as no one wants to see a new biz go under.Best of luck to you folks, get a handle on the QC. I probably won’t be back, the quality definitely didn’t match the price, but I might have just caught you on a bad day.

As someone who has had the kolaches from shipleys in Texas, which are absolutely addictive, there’s something off with the ones from here. I can’t tell if it’s the sausage or cheese, but something isn’t right and it lacks most of the flavor of the kolaches from shipleys in Texas. It’s just weird.Edit: Gave this place another chance and ordered regular sausage and cheese kolaches, they gave me the bold version of the kolaches instead with almost no cheese on them, and they tasted terrible. These bold versions have way more sausage and its overpowering taste is horrible. I guess I’m done with this location forever unfortunately. I would have put up with the off taste of the regular kolaches if I got them, but the staff keeps giving me bold when I order normal, ordered on the app this time.

My husband & I were first time visitors today and immediately determined we will not return. I grew up in Texas and experienced an Original Shipley's location and quality. We ordered a small variety of donuts for breakfast and spent $20 on 5 donuts and 2 milks. The Boston Creme donuts were extremely dry and lacking in cream filling while the chocolate glaze was burnt. The Apple filled donut was again dry and the filling tasted uncooked and metallic from a can. The Apple fritter was overcooked and burnt in color while actually being dry with an over powering amount of cinnamon. We have yet to try the cinnamon roll but it is again dark in color and hard to the touch indicating it is probably overcooked as well.In regards to service, there was only one person working the counter and drive thru at the same time. We were asked to wait as he took a drive thru order that pulled up after we had already been acknowledged as next in line. Staff member was very abrupt in responses when advised that we would be eating in and ordering more than the 2 donuts that he had already bagged and started ringing out the order.

Ordered a blueberry glazed donut and received an unglazed donut. Went back through the drive through explaining we had ordered a glazed. CJ then proceeded to say “yeah that’s all I had left”. It would have been nice to be informed that they didn’t have the donut I ordered as I would have gotten something else. Asked for a new one and she gave us the wrong donut again. Along with all of this CJ was very rude and had a horrible attitude. Will not be recommending this place to anyone and will not be coming back.

Very poor customer service by CJ. Messed up our order twice and refused to fix it, on top of giving us an attitude. Will not be coming back
