I ordered carry‑out from Sura and tried the Don Katsu. This was both my first visit to the restaurant and my first time having this dish.

The restaurant sits in a small strip mall with not much else around, and the parking lot could really use a major refresh. Still, don’t let that stop you — once you’re inside, the staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.

The Don Katsu was very good. The portion was generous, the cutlet was tender, and the sauce had a nice sweetness to it. The menu listed two dumplings, but I received two spring rolls instead, and they were excellent — especially dipped in the sauce. Even after the drive back to my hotel, everything was still warm and enjoyable. I’ll definitely return the next time I’m in the area.

Spend my last 3 years living in korea and was craving some authentic korean food. This restaurant did not disappoint. Food was really good and staff very friendly. Definitely coming back. The area outside looks a little run down but their is a hidden gem inside.

Ordered the LA Galbi and Beef Bulgogi it was AMAZING. We ate it all in one sitting. The food here is authentic and I loved the atmosphere, it reminds me of my childhood growing up, cozy and simple. The owner she was very sweet, kind and hardworking. So happy that Colorado Springs has authentic Korean food Sura Korean!

I recently ate at Sura Korean Restaurant and had an outstanding experience.

We ordered the shrimp fried rice, bulgogi beef, and short ribs (galbi), and every dish delivered. The shrimp fried rice was perfectly cooked—flavorful, slightly crisp, and not greasy. The bulgogi was tender, well-marinated, and had that perfect balance of sweet and savory. The short ribs were the highlight—rich, juicy, and cooked exactly right with deep, authentic flavor.

The meal also came with a variety of banchan (side dishes), which were fresh and added a lot to the overall experience.

Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming without feeling overdone.

If you’re looking for authentic Korean food in Colorado Springs, this place is absolutely worth your time. I’ll definitely be back.
