We celebrated our 14th Anniversary and it was beyond special! Yes! We recommend Flying Horse for all occasion you will not be disappointed. Perfect experience beyond words thank you so much!!
Best food, service, and atmosphere for steakhouse in Colorado Springs. Laura is an extraordinary server and creates a wonderful experience.
Our first visit to the Steakhouse and we had a wonderful experience! The staff was friendly and welcoming from the valet staff, to the bar staff and the hostess and wait staff. Service excellence, and delicious cuisine, all put into practice!
Filet Minon was the most tender and perfectly cooked. Table side Ceasar salad was great. Window seat view of the golf course.
My date and I shared the French Onion soup. It was delicious, and large enough for 2, or even 3 people to share. I had the bone-in rib-eye with asparagus. The steaks are always delicious and well-aged, but the yolk jam on the asparagus was the highlight of the evening. Creamy, velvety, and I want more! Always lovely service and a breathtaking sunset.
We live in Flying Horse and have been to the Steakhouse a few times over the past 5 years, none of the visits were fantastic, but most were good. This last time was pretty bad. We went for a leisurely dinner however they didn't have enough servers on the floor, so the poor server taking care of us was hammered with tables in multiple rooms. Our entire dinner was around 2 and a half hours. The Chefs at the Steakhouse tend to over cook steaks, we wanted medium so we ordered medium rare... this mostly worked as the steaks were a bit medium plus. We both finished half our steaks, about half the sides and had everything boxed up. We had a nice dessert, paid our bill and went home. Once we were home, we learned that they completely forgot to box up our steaks. We called and talked to them at the front desk, the lady that answered (not sharing her name in the review) stated that a manager was not available to take a call and she would take a message for them. I left a message about the missing steaks, we only ate half so we could bring the other half home and have room for dessert. She said that a manager would be getting back to us. I then found out I left my Credit Card there, so I called again, they found it. My wife went down to pick it up (I was unable to go and we didn't want to leave the card there overnight). They didn't mention the incident, but did give us our card back quickly. It's been 6 days since we left that message for them, and they have completely ignored us. The steaks we purchased were some of their nicer cuts, so there is a decent chunk of money lost there. Their silence speaks volumes. They present themselves as a premium venue but provide services that is overshadowed by our local Texas Roadhouse. Once again, we are not impressed. Also, they charge a 2.95% Retail Service fee that was not disclosed properly before the bill. By law, they can charge this but need to disclose it. It's tacky for a such an expensive place to do this. Not premium.
We had a wonderful time. Our server was excellent as well as the food. We had a gorgeous view of the mountains. Perfect evening.
Lauren was a great server!!!! She had personality, remembered our names, she was fun. The couple we had invited to join us liked everything about the dinner, as well as us.
Excellent dinner the butter cake for dessert was the best ever!! Beautiful views and venue.
We love to have dinner at Flying Horse! We are treated so well. From the moment we arrived the gentleman at valet was so kind and made us very welcome! Our dinner was prepared perfectly! Thanks for a nice evening out!

The food was really enjoyable. Tobias did an amazing job taking care of us, but the whole team provided a service level that should be recognized. They completely made the entire experience enjoyable.
We were there for lunch and had the brussel sprouts appetizer, burger and fish & chips for the meal, and the butter cake and WAGYU brownie for dessert. The food was amazing! Thank you Katee for a wonderful experience.
Katiee was an amazing server. She was very kind and helpful!!! I well be back.
It was my daughter's bday and looking to make it special. Waitress took a long time to take our order, only received one small slice of bread per person, halibut was not seasoned whatsoever. It even looked bland with no color. Daughter's steak came out medium rare. She ordered it medium. Good part of the night was the ambiance, low noise level, she received a free bday drink and bday dessert. Total time spent was a little over two hours. That's too long for dinner.
We have been eating at the Steakhouse at Flying Horse since it opened and have always had an exceptional experience. Unfortunately, this last experience was subpar at best. There were three of us, including myself, my wife, and our guest. Our guest and I both had steaks and they were exceptionally salty. My wife had the salmon Oscar, and the sauce under the crab was way more than necessary and overpowering. Our server didn't have sufficient experience or understanding of the menu to make good suggestions for what would compliment or meals, and what we ordered was simply again overpowering rather than complimentary. Regardless, we love this restaurant and we'll give it another try, but we have been hearing about declining reports recently. I hope that's not true.
