Dan and Kim at 149 eatery provid an outstanding menu with options for everyone! The food was very delicious and outranks restaurants in the city. The fillet steak was hand crafted to perfection, the staff was very friendly and we appreciated the hospitality!

Waitress was friendly. Host was not…place was empty at 4pm but with no reservation we were nearly turned away. If you want overpriced average food and a snooty atmosphere, this is your place. The cook and waitress were pleasant but the host has got to go.

Great ambiance! Dan, the owner was fantastic as was Kim and our server
They were attentive and alot of fun. 30 oz ribeye and Cajun pasta were fantastic. Finished it off with ice cream. Went two times while in the area golfing at Rio Grande resort
Strongly recommend. We will definitely be back

149 Eatery in Creede is the best hidden secret. Kim, our server, was a rockstar. She was warm, funny, and on point with her recommendations. She made us feel like family from the first interaction. Dan, the owner, stopped by our table like we were old friends. The food was spectacular in every bite. You can’t go wrong with a single thing on the menu. This is the type of place that you want to find in a small, mountain town - cozy, welcoming, and so good that we’re tempted to ditch tomorrow’s plans just to come back.

Exquisitely rustic….the food and atmosphere! The indoor dining area is perfect for a cozy, dress-up night while the outdoor patio is delightfully casual. The food is 5-star quality which was a huge surprise and not expected in this rustic setting. We didn’t have a reservation but they were able to squeeze us in and the service was on point. Highly recommend if you’re looking for fine dining while in the mountains.

Where do I start? From the ease of making a reservation, the friendly staff, the sweetest waitress, the food that was sheer perfection, or the desert that was so delish. 10/10. Highly recommend. We had steak & lobster fettuccine and it was so perfect. Kim our waitress, was so knowledgeable about the menu, attention to our table, all around made for a wonderful experience. If you’re in the South Fork/Creede area, this is a MUST!

We called for reservations but weren't able to reach anyone. We popped in anyway just hoping for a table, and they were able to accommodate (a reservation no-showed).

We had the Truffle Fries, Chicken Fried Chicken, Seafood Bisque, and Beef Stroganoff. The Truffle Fries were good, though I expected a Truffle dust or seasoning on them. Instead it was a sauce that came on the side (still good, just different). My husband said the chicken was good and it was really nicely cooked, but the herbed potatoes could have used a little more herbs and seasoning. The Seafood Bisque was good, and the Beef Stroganoff was too.

Some folks may get sticker shock at a few prices (Stroganoff was $28) but it's also important to keep in mind how remote and far from accessible suppliers this place is. I'm sure they get deliveries, but it's definitely out of the way. The waitress and owner were very kind and welcoming. The restaurant is attached to a busy gift shop/ice cream parlor and bathrooms are single-occupant only, which can be difficult during busy times, but it was clean. The music was a bit loud but I think we were fairly close to a speaker. Overall it was a good experience and I encourage others to give it a shot! Definitely call in advance for reservations, we just happened to be extremely fortunate.

Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a while and definitely my favorite place to eat in SLV! Dan and staff are absolutely wonderful and we will be coming back. Our steaks were perfectly cooked to order and the sides were awesome! Unfortunately we were too full to enjoy dessert! Our server Bethany was a total pro and we enjoyed her hospitality and recommendations. So hard to find a restaurant with excellent food/drinks, atmosphere and top notch service from the staff and 149 Eatery excels in each category! Thanks Dan, my family loved your restaurant!

It was our first time, with a family of 7. We loved everything about the 149 Eatery! The food was outstanding.......we had the bone-in ribeye, Chilean Sea Bass, Beef Short Ribs, Bison Burger and Lobster. We had NO complaints about any of it!!! We ordered 3 deserts, shared them between all 7 of us, and was still unable to eat it all! The owners are awesome and very personable. The service couldn't have been better. The gift shop, ice cream parlor and coffee bar exceeded any expectations. We will definitely be back!!!

Had a delicious meal tonight. The crispy brussels sprouts were very flavorful. And it was suggested that instead of waffle fries with my bison burger, I should try the Southwest potato casserole. Yuummm!! Great service in a relaxed, fine dining establishment. I highly recommend.

After multiple rave reviews from people in Creede, CO, we visited 149 Eatery at Cottonwood Cove. Everything and everyone was excellent. The owner is fantastic and treats each patron like life long friends. Our server was very attentive, personable and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. I cannot recommend highly enough the veal potsticker appetizer! Amazing blend of flavors! The award winning chili, is just that! We had the braised short ribs and Chilean sea bass. Both were delicious!

Driving by this place, you might think it's just a little road-side diner, but don't be fooled, they can compete with big city high-end restaurants.

The best food I've ever eaten. Everything was perfect in every way. We had to go two nights in a row. Friendly staff, lovely patio with a view, and Dan Morehead makes the atmosphere even more special with his awesome personality and strong work ethic. You definitely don't want to miss this place if you are in the area.
