10/10 experience! Waking up early is worth it for their freshly baked croissants (flaky outside, buttery inside). The baristas craft each latte with care, creating perfect leaf designs every time. Cozy place with amazing food.

This place is absolutely amazing! Our drinks were delicious, the vibe was so good, and the young man behind the bar was super talkative and made it a wonderful experience. A+

Favorite coffee shop near CB! There's scales on the bar and the cold brew is done well. Amazing location. Open Mid-June to Mid August.

It’s sad they never took the time to train the barista. I had the hottest cappuccino I’ve ever been served, and it was wet. No attempt to aerate the milk and stop at the right temp. Sad, as it had so much potential.

Excellent atmosphere: very rustic-looking shop with excellent homey vibes inside. The staff are talkative and kind, and the establishment provides great employment opportunities to student workers in REU or education programs! The coffee is great — staff are very willing to make custom orders (I have heard some pretty ridiculous requirements from customers while sitting at a corner table) and I would say the flavors and quality are comparable to that of coffee options in Crested Butte. I.e., it certainly does not hold the spot for #1 in my heart, but it's outstanding for the price you pay and the atmosphere you get.P.S. for the few people complaining about it not being a literal coffee *lab* with corresponding quality and scientific precision: you must be really fun at parties

Parking: Can get quite busy and a little difficult to find parking some days, but that's to be expected in a high-traffic route with access to the beautiful hikes in the East River valley

Dietary restrictions: Plenty of options for dietary restrictions and vegan/vegetarian preferences

We stumbled upon the RMBL research station outside of Crested Butte, and found this tiny coffee shop. The menu is limited but very good, and the location is super cool! It's right next to a visitor center where you can learn about the research being conducted in the unique and fragile alpine biome, and have some coffee to keep you warm while you look around
