I had no idea what to expect. I will say i was pleasantly surprised. Seeing the prices i was taken aback at first. I quickly learned that this was a family style 3 course meal experience. The main course price included a variety of appetizers, your main course, and a plethora of sides. To finish the experience, an ice cream sandwich! I have a large appetite, and in my opinion this one meal can feed a family of 4.

The food was outstanding; my bf and I got one protein dish, chicken, and just sides to share and we were STUFFED after a full day of skiing; and then had enough leftovers for another meal the next day. Wanted to order the ribs/rib eye not just chicken but there was so much food we would not be able to finish it; sooo good that it was hard to pass up! All the sides were delicious! I did not love the mac n cheese but my bf did. We were impressed that the first course was ready when we arrived and had excellent service the whole meal. Chicken, creamed corn and biscuits were my favorites. The mixed drinks were not great; too strong for a mixed one, and the table for two was small but other than that it was amazing! I understand the rave reviews and wish there were more places like this.

I was first introduced to The Slogar when I was a kid - loved it then and love it now. ❤️We make a point to eat here every trip to CB. Just celebrated my birthday there and it was perfect - impeccable service, yummy champagne, delicious food, and extra fun atmosphere. Go enjoy the Champagne ? and Fried Chicken ?!

We love the fried chicken although we can't eat it all. The side dishes are tasty, especially the biscuits, a favorite. The atmosphere is friendly and personal. The restaurant has several rooms which makes it feel intimate and quiet. I hope to return soon.

Our 3rd visit and it didn't disappoint. It's one of our must visit places when we come to Crested Butte. We had the Barnyard Platter and all 3 meats were very good. It's a Family Style menu, so there was plenty of sides to go around for just the two of us.

What a great place! Very enjoyable atmosphere. Service was impeccable without being intrusive. Food was amazing. Please be aware that while it may seem pricey, you are getting appetizers, side dishes, dessert included and that is what makes it quite reasonable. The ribs, fried chicken and filet were our entrees and remarkable. Being from Dallas, the filet was perhaps the best I have ever had. Just a great experience!

My favorite meal in Crested Butte. The table is set and first course is ready when we arrive. My husband had the red pepper entree and it was delicious. I had the fried chicken and it was delightful!

Food was decent, service was subpar. Everyone at the table is forced to order an overpriced entree. There were 6 of us, 2 couples and 2 singles. Server refused to separate checks by seat so we had to spend 10 minutes figuring out who owed what. 20% gratuity added because there were six of us. First time, last time....

Vegetarian options: Red bell pepper stuffed with sautéed squash, ricotta and served with a tasty, slightly spicy sauce- loved it.

We love Slogar. After more than 10 years it's as good as we remember. The tomato chutney was really good; save some to have with the mashed potatoes! The chicken is moist and crisp, the ribs are tasty. Be prepared to waddle out!

Pre Covid this place was awesome and a staple part of every trip we made to Crested Butte. Since then, the management and staff have turned over and you can tell. The atmosphere isn't as friendly, prices 4x's what they use to be and portions 4x's less than what they use to be. If I could, I would take our last visit back and go to Stash instead. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Slogar, and I recommend anyone who remembers how this place was pre covid to consider skipping Slogar during your next trip to CB.
