I thought this was a great hotel for the price and purpose. I was here with students for an undergraduate convention. The lobby is beautiful––love the fireplace (and outdoor firepits), coffee bar, and different work spaces. It felt modern, cool, and practically designed. My guest room was gigantic! I was shocked at how spacious and comfortable it was. I also had a worktable, which was useful. The hotel has a heated rooftop pool––I wish it had been a little hotter (since it was chilly while I was there), but it was definitely heated and people were using it even in the cool weather. I didn't find the separate towers to be an inconvenience at all, and I found the staff helpful. The hotel is on a block with a pedestrian mall, which gave us convenient access to shops, bars, and restaurants. Overall I had a fantastic stay.
I stayed at this hotel in February / March 2023 for a course with work. The hotel is located on the 16th Street Mall in Denver which is convenient for restaurants but also in an area popular with the homeless. On checkin I was told that housekeeping was limited to one visit per week. Presumably this is a cost saving measure. Even after housekeeping does pay a visit issues like the mildew in the shower is not addressed. There is a Target store with a pharmacy within walking distance where you can purchase cleaning products. During my month long stay at this hotel I needed to order a pair of jeans on line. If I ordered two pairs I qualified for free shipping. The jeans were delivered very efficiently by UPS to my address at the hotel. When I went to the front desk to collect them I was told they were being held at the FedEx office in the basement. When I went there to collect them I was handed a $10 “handling fee.” The lady behind the desk said if I wanted my mail I had to pay her ten dollars. I stay in hotels a lot in my job. I have never been charged for receiving mail at a hotel before. I have never felt like I am responsible for cleaning the hotel before either.
I stayed for 2 nights in the Sheraton in Downtown Denver for a conference and stayed in the newly renovated Tower Building. I normally don't write reviews but this stay was remarkably memorable for how bad it was. First, my colleagues and I booked "run of the mill" rooms through our conference that were supposed to be 1 king or 2 double beds. We received a huge range of rooms -- some were put into King suites while others (including me) were placed in tiny rooms that barely fit a double bed and were located within the elevator bank (Beware of rooms in the Tower ending in *40!). Second, one night coming back from dinner, I flipped on my bathroom light and was greeted by the sight of a cockroach skittering across the floor. When I told the front desk about the roach (and showed them a picture), I was merely told that they have not had that problem before in that room and that they would look into it. Additionally, the design of the hotel was terrible. The bridge between the Plaza and Tower buildings is very inconvenient when the weather is bad and/or the hotel is full. There were steps only (no ramp) to get on the bridge and the only way to get from the 2nd floor to the lobby in the Plaza was by elevator. We were surprised that there were no stairs nearby for people to walk down. We wouldn't have used the bridge except that it was single digits outside. Finally, the escalators to the meeting rooms were not operational the entire time we were there. They were very narrow escalators and we heard they were turned off was because they were not ADA compliant.
The hotel staff are unprofessional. They literally play games with the guests For example They would give you the room keys to your room. Without telling you which tower to go to You would find the room number in the same building the lobby is at. Only to discover the key doesn't work. So you go back to the lobby replace the key which of course still doesn't work because no one has bothered to tell you the room is in the tower a cross the street. When you finally come back a 3rd time. Is when they finally tell you the room is in the other tower . Management doesn't care They seem to only care about their airline flight crew guests
I had an absolutely horrible experience at the Sheraton in downtown Denver. They refused to remove the state taxes from my receipt even though I provided my state employee ID upon check-in and they promised to remove the taxes prior to me checking in. Called several times, spoke to multiple employees, they never removed the taxes. Horrible customer service and rude employees.
Wow, this hotel really exceeds expectations! My wife was not so thrilled we had booked the Sheraton, but that attitude definitely changed after seeing the property following the recent massive renovation. The property looks great, with one of the best and engaging hotel lobbies we’ve seen in a very long time. Sheraton succeeded in creating a multipurpose space you’ll actually want to hang out in, both morning and night. Our room on the 19th floor was also very nicely done, with thoughtful design touches and very comfortable and usable furniture. This may be our new go-to hotel in Downtown Denver - we won’t hesitate to be back!
I stayed at the Sheraton for a conference. The room was a good size, clean and had plenty of plug sockets for phones and laptops. He’s was very comfortable. Security was good, bar service quick and all the staff were really helpful and friendly. My favourite spot was the courtyard where there was a fire pit to keep us warm when we wanted fresh air. The gym had modern equipment, fresh towels and water.
I stayed at the Sheraton Denver Downtown in September 2022 and had a very good experience. The front desk was very helpful with getting me checked in and letting me know any info I needed. Jocelyn at the front desk was extremely helpful with information and anything I needed. I am excited to stay there the next time I am in Denver.
I had a stay downtown - website states "Stop by the Spritz Pool Bar to sip on a tropical cocktail or savor our fresh cuisine for a pool-side lunch" - yet there is no service at the pool & it was meant to be 'heated' it was but barely so........ I stayed in a room with my 2 klids, so I had to sleep on the sofabed. First I was told it was made up when I arrived, but it wasn't. It took me @30mins calling and eventually finding a service person in the corridor to get the bed made up. Second. It was the worst thing I've ever slept on. Springs were digging into my back. I took the bedding off and slept on the floor. The safe didn't work. Tried to get that fixed the same time as I was teying to get the bed made up, but the internal phone didn't work to contact the front deck/other. Finally the 'living room' was so narrow you couldn't really see the TV - very badly designed. On leaving I tried to call down to the valet to get my car brought up. No response again from the internal pnone. I tried to call the numbers on the website directly. Nothing. The only response I got was from the online chat. That actually worked. Great location. Poor rooms, poor customer service.
Hello, My experience with Sheraton Denver Downtown wasn't great. My colleagues and I were there for a conference where we are strategic partners, and problems started from check-in. I went to check-in and was told that the room choice I had booked was unavailable and that Amex Travel doesn't send over that information. They put me in a 2 queen room with a fruit label sticker on one of the walls, and the soap tray in the shower was coming off the wall. My colleague had booked his room through Sheraton, and even his room was not guaranteed and didn't receive the room type that he had booked. When he got to the room, it reeked of cigarette smell, and had to change his room.

We stayed here again based on our previous experience and it was even better. The check-in staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Dinner at the lobby bar was as good as any downtown restaurant, and the bartenders made conversation even while juggling a giant party on the other side of the bar. A highlight was the outdoor pool being warm enough to swim, even on a cold November morning. Our stay was part of a downtown experience package won in a charity auction in support of Denver Center for the Performing Arts. We appreciated the hotel's GM participating as a partner to one of our favorite arts venues.
This recently remodeled property is now what you remember from the Sheraton brand. Inside and out this property has seen refreshes that bring the brand back. The lobby bar has a lively feel and great drinks and snacks. The Sheraton Club has been moved to street level with snacks and drinks available. The Hotel is located within a short bus or car ride from Union Station. Being on the 16th st mall you can hop on the free bus right outside. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Despite its very modern look, I felt like I was in Bangkok or Nairobi since the room had no microwave and no hot pot to heat water. No doubt, they want you to spend $22 for breakfast instead of heating up oatmeal in the room. The carpet is an ugly, postmodern design which becomes more distressing each time you walk the hall. The bathroom art--the same. After the second day, you're tempted to take the ugly, cheap picture down.
Overall I had a good experience. From the start, Jeff at the front desk provided excellent service and explained what my stay may include. The room was spacious and clean which is very important to me. However, the heater in the room was constantly blowing (also was so loud) which bothered me the first night but I inquired about it and they fixed it the following day. The shower was weird and the water was not warm enough—it was difficult to keep it warm and to adjust the temperature, but well, I managed. Overall the stay was fine and Jeff was excellent and professional.
This hotel is in such a nice and convenient location for our trip. Anatole at the front desk was genuinely kind and helpful and we not only saw it but also felt his excellent manners and attentions. This combined with this fine hotel made our stay just wonderful. Also there was a super kind waitress in the restaurant where we had breakfast.
