Filipino foods I ordered in this restaurant taste adobo and oily, you can't taste the difference.

I have never wrote reviews for a place before but I feel the need to write this because my experience there was more odd than usual. The food was okay. I was expecting more filipino options but all of the Filipino options were very underwhelming. The pork belly didn’t taste like liempo and they smothered mae ploy sweet chili sauce all over it to cover the blandness. The chicken adobo tasted like someone not filipino trying to imitate it and the lumpia was very bland. The rice also felt old and crusty despite having the chicken adobo sauce all over it. Also ordered the Ube Ice cream for dessert since the owner insisted to try it and they smothered it with condensed milk which was unnecessary and the ice cream itself was difficult to pick with a utensil. Much more to eat it because it felt like it needed to be churned more.
Asides from the food, I felt very uncomfortable when the owner took our order. He kept on insisting on items we clearly do not want and he seemed upset when we said no.
We’ll never be going back of course. There are far more better options for filipino food than this establishment.

I ate the xmas smothered burrito enjoying both, red and green chile. For context, I lived in Abq for three years. I really enjoyed it and will definitely come back.

The owner is pretty much the nicest guy around
He tells you his history of the menu and where things come from and you can tell the pride he has in his food and his family
The green Chile can't be beat, and the birria was phenomenal.
Try to turn down the flan, you can't.

All of us loved the food! Everything is creative, flavorful, and not overly salty. I love the fusion of new mexico and the Phillipines. I am vegetarian, my friend is a celiac, and there were tons of choices. Even as a vegetarian, I has a bite of the adobo sauce - unbelievably delicious! We will be back - there is more food you try!

My husband and I have been here twice now and had a much better experience the most recent time.
We shared:
- Prime Brisket Barboacoa Quesadilla
- Pork Belly Smothered Taco
- Pork Belly Stack
- Passion Fruit Limeaid
The quesadilla was really good, but it was heavy. I think it's better to have one piece and share it as an appetizer. The smothered taco felt more like chips and queso than a taco, but the flavor was great.
The pork belly stack was incredible. If you get one thing, make sure it's this. It melts in your mouth and the sauce is delicious. If you like passion fruit, that drink is a must.
We weren't very impressed by the food a year ago, so I'm not sure if the food improved or if we ordered better this time, but we really enjoyed it!

Sneaky good. Hidden treasure. Whatever you want to call it, as long as it is GOOD.
The wife and I have been here 3 times, I think the sample size is adequate, and our experiences there thus far have sold me. This is a Mexican-Filipino themed mix place. It is also a food truck that did well enough to become brick and mortar. So glad it did. The award-winning food truck days were pre-pandemic, and the award-winning brick and mortar days are since 2023. We have been there for lunch, end of HH, and dinner.
We got to experience the wings the first time there. Huge, awesome tasting wings that are pretty memorable, even in the highly competitive space of my brain that ranks my lifetime portions of wings. Definitely recommend. They have free pool. The asterisk is that the table leans, but it is free, so just let that go after your awesome meal. Maybe just have one extra drink and not notice the slight lean. Anyway, back to the other times. The next time, we got the sampler (mango habanero wings) and I had the pork belly mac and cheese. Aside from the fact that the servings were ample and that I ordered too much food, everything was delicious once again. They were out of the lumpia eggrolls, and my wife's sadness indicated to me that these things must be good (I had never had them). This last time, Alex was our bartender and gave us efficient, personal, and fantastic service. Perfect combo of being there when we needed something with leaving us alone for our time, and giving us food and drink advice as needed. He simply is the type of bartender that makes you want to return...which we will. This time, they DID have the lumpia eggrolls in stock, and they WERE very good. They must have been out the first time because everyone loves them so much. My wife is more the dry rub wing person, but we got those, and I will say they might be my favorite dry rub wings that I have had in a long time. I had a cheap Banquet, and the wife had an awesome tasting ube drink. Looked as cool as it tasted. Wife got the green chili for the other part of our meal and A) loved it and B) had a large enough serving where she had to take some home. I almost got suckered into over-ordering and getting the mac and cheese again, but decided to do the pork belly bites after those large wings. Great call, and these were amazing. I added the jalapeno add-on, and it was a great call. I highly recommend them if you want something to call a meal, but aren't starving, although this place has such great prices that you can also just order a main thing and take the rest home. We finished everything with the incredible ube ice cream things and you CAN'T go wrong by ordering these...and it is another sizable portion for the price and level of taste of the bites. This dessert is magical.
Synopsis. This place has grown on me big time. We have never caught live music there, but we assume they have it as there is a small stage. The bar area is great. There are a couple of TV's with sports on, and some varied background music during our visits. They have a small parking lot, so you don't have to park on side streets. The pictures are darker because it was low lighting the last time we were there, and it was a cool, low-key atmosphere for our mood that night anyway. Oh. Almost forgot my favorite part! Ask for the house hot sauce if you like things spicy like me. It was incredible. Pretty hot, but still had a taste that elevated the meal...not just making something hot for hot sake. I highly recommend stopping by here, the food is amazing, the service was great, and see you there...

Ordered food thru online. Delivery guy didn’t deliver the food. Called the restaurant but they don’t know what to do. Talked to the owner and said to order again. Toast app is telling me to contact the restaurant to cancel my order but they don’t know what to do.

We stopped by Adobo because my other half is Filipino and was really excited to try it. The staff was nice, but there was a bit of a weird smell inside when we walked in, which made the experience a little off.
The food itself was just okay — not bad, but nothing that really stood out. Hoping to try other Filipino spots next time and find something that hits closer to home-style flavor.
Adobo is one of the best restaurants in Denver. Absolutely delicious every time. Their adobo is top tier and the adobo consommé is even better. Fantastic service every time I’ve been in, but particularly this evening. Thank you Sam for above and beyond service!
