Have the best service from a server named Emma. In the tap room, she recommended the best dishes I’ve ever had.

I used to love coming here as I have attended some of their raves, and have had some industry parties here with Sanos gardens. I've come a couple times with friends even or on dates as well. Every time I have ever been here I always prefer to sit in the tea room at the bar in which they have never cared about IDing although I am over 26. I came here last night with a friend and who had accidentally forgotten his wallet. The bartenders when we first sat down didn't ask us how we were doing just said ID in a very rude manner. When I showed them my ID they then put their hand out to my friend to get his ID. He explained that he wasn't going to drink and that he had forgotten his wallet as I was the one who told him I would be paying. We are both the same age and I have always felt comfortable sitting in the tea room at the bar and this has never been a problem. Then they tried to make us move back to a table that was right next to another group in a very uncomfortable spot. My friend and I just left at that point because why would we pay the prices of this place when they were treating us so rudely. I again used to love this place but seems like they have gotten to pretensous for their own good. I for one have never left a bad review for a company nor have I ever been that angry with treatment to just walk out of a place as I work service industry as well but 100% can say they need to fix their attitude and should be accommodating to the comfort of their guests.

Atmosphere: The entry to Bao Brewhouse is nice and cozy, a great spot to eat warm dumplings during a cold night. I had made reservations for the Tea House to enjoy their Bottomless Dumplings. As we walked up the stairs to the Tea House section, the music increased to an obscenely loud level and forces us to yell all night. It's extremely overstimulating.

Service: Hostess was great and lead us to our seats immediately. Service otherwise was extremely slow. Our drinks took about 20 minutes for just 2 draft beers and a teapot. We were there for almost 2 hours and only had time to order 3 rounds of dumplings (5 dumplings / person / round). We also ordered an entree rice, but it was so delayed we ended up taking it home instead of enjoying it at the restaurant. Not accusing anyone, but it almost felt like patrons that ordered the Bottomless dumplings were purposefully given less attention and care than other patrons.. almost like to limit the amount of dumplings they were serving. Just saying it how I saw.

Food: the pork dumplings that is part of the bottomless dumping were delicious. Definitely easy to get a lot of. The cheeseburger dumplings were not as good unfortunately. The cheeseburger dumplings had a thick dry dough and has a bit of inconsistencies in quality. One person at my table tasted a lot of the cheeseburger, another person at my table got youthful of wasabi and ginger (same cheeseburger dumpling!) We notified the waiter and he confirmed that one tray was from a source of dumplings that were made different from the rest of the tables' dumplings.

Pricing: Paying $30 for less than 15 dumplings / person is wild. Non bottomless dumplings options are $15/6 buns, some a little more expensice. While the portions are family sized, I still dont feel the price is justified. ($26 for mushroom fried rice?!)

Take your money somewhere else!

Bao Brewhouse – A Creative, Flavorful Experience in a Stunning Space We sat upstairs in the Tea Room at Bao Brewhouse, and the experience was nothing short of delightful. The space itself is beautiful and full of energy—a perfect mix of old-world charm and modern vibrancy that makes it feel both inviting and exciting. The menu is creative and delicious, filled with inventive takes on classic dishes that show real thought and skill in the kitchen. Every plate felt carefully crafted to surprise and satisfy, and the balance of flavors kept things interesting from start to finish. The service was very good overall, attentive and friendly, though a few small details were missed along the way. Still, the staff's warmth and professionalism made up for it, and the overall experience remained excellent. We'll definitely be going back—both for the food and for that unique Tea Room atmosphere that makes dining at Bao Brewhouse such a memorable experience.

We came on a Monday, unfortunately the tea room was closed (upstairs). But me and date enjoyed our menu options and dining experience downstairs. No reservations needed, quick and easy service. Our server alley gave us great recommendations

Even though I had a reservation for the tea room I ended up waiting 10 minutes to be seated because there was a line with nobody at the front counter to seat people. This was followed by not being able to order the sake flight because they were out of their standard sake, having our food delivered 20 minutes apart, with the last person not getting good until almost an hour after the reservation time, even though we ordered quickly when we arrived.

The food was good, if overpriced, but the service was terrible.

The overall experience was decent, we waited a while to be seated. Once we got seated I felt like our server was overwhelmed. She explained the concept and checked in and then didn't come back for a bit. My food came before my first cocktail and once food was out we really didn't see her again. Had to flag her down for refills and additional cocktails. Food was spicy and flavorful overall. I would go back but maybe try the bar for faster service.
