Baguette was *life changing*
Service at the bakery counter was excellent (but 4 people standing at the coffee counter chatting while service counter has a line of 10+??)
Almond croissant was mediocre
Other pastries were terrible to the point of being inedible
We strongly suspect that only the bread is crafted in-house, and everything else is simply brought in from a (questionable) commercial kitchen
Go to Jeannot's in Lafayette where everything is made from scratch by his team

Great little french bakery. Bread was so good! Crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. So many options for sweet and savory depending on what you are in the mood for. A hidden gem!

I literally live in this neighborhood because of this bakery. Every time I try something new there, my mind is always blown by how perfect it is. It’s one of my favorite things in the world right now.

Food and service are amazing. Limited seating in what is a pretty big space. It could be so much better in there with a simple furniture switch out and re arrangement.

This bakery is amazing! I bought the spelt loaf which was delicious. For desert a pear tart and a mille feuille - pastry out of this world. You could be in a Parisian patisserie except here the staff are really lovely and helpful!

This bakery has a faithful following of customers and, for the most part, it’s deserved. However, value certainly isn’t one of their redeeming qualities. Especially after today’s purchase of this chocolate croissant. Certainly nice and flaky. But….LACKING in chocolate 😔

5 stars seems inadequate. The pastries and bread at Babette's are far and away the best I have had in years. The croissants are flakey and tender, blueberry and cheese pastries make you forget your diet, and the baguettes are worthy of pate and cornichons. Spending $12 for a pain naturel may seem excessive, but the flavor and texture (and size!) will have you realizing there was no better way to spend that cash. This is not every day bread. This is bread you have with your favorite homemade soup or that spinach and roasted beet salad you love so much. It is worthy of such company. Of course it's also delicious in the car when you tear a piece off the end because you can't wait the 20 minutes it takes to get home.
