Same decent menu for 3 years now. Maybe switch it up or add new things?

To start things off this review is based off the food during Denver restaurant week. Coming from Miami when we have Miami Spice the restaurant goes all out. Wish I could say the same for this place to start things off we were told that for DRW we get free edamame. What they failed to mention was that they were going to serve us ice cold edamame. The Monofongo was good and the Main dish was decent. Everything else was totally under expectations including the service the young lady provided. I just can’t believe the quality of food they served. THE RICE PUDDING WAS THE MOST DISGUSTING THING EVER. Two parties at our table and no one even touched it. The fried bananas were also served cold and I was shocked. I then ask the server are these always served cold?. I get it’s DFW but half the restaurant was closed and they had about 25 tables no reason for my food to come out cold and stale. I really had high hopes for this place as someone who went to culinary school and loves amazing food.

What a beautiful treat for vegans in colorado! The menu is amazingly diverse, the food is exceptional, and the location is within walking distance of everything that matters in downtown denver.

The restaurant was nicely done to theme and one server in particular was very helpful. However the food was just ok- not much innovation or creativity. Parking was extremely difficult- took 20+ mins to find so for all those reasons probably won't go back. There are good vegan options on my side of town so overall not worth the hassle.

Absolutely fantastic experience! I am not a vegan/vegetarian but my friend is. I had seen that this place was a part of restaurant week so I sent it to her and she asked if we could go. I am thoroughly impressed and absolutely LOVED the food. So happy to have found a gem in cap hill that I can come back to for quality food and such a cool ambience. Thank you!!

The setting is the star here. I bet it's even better in the summer too. The mofongo was great and I enjoyed trying the tamarind dip with edamame. The best entree we tried was a “bunny bowl” with a squash chickpea strew in a sourdough bowl. The two desserts we tried were pretty blah. The bathrooms were the low point- I didn't appreciate the portapotty door aesthetic and they were kinda dirty.

I love this food! Amazing vegan options in a fun but romantic atmosphere. I highly recommend the coconut corn bread, it's unreal. We loved the Cubano and cauliflower wings too.Love that they carry Red Stripe beers. Such a cute little bottle that you don't typically see places carry. The staff was lovely as well. Had a really great Thursday night out!Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan, so vegetarians will be fine!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, veg, and veganParking: Horrible parking around that area. Super residential and lots of one ways. We got lucky and ended up with a spot right out front eventually, but we had to pull a lap around a few blocks.

This spot is amazing! As someone with a nut allergy but many vegan friends it is difficult to find places we can all enjoy together. Bang Up To The Elephant is a super cool and unique space, serving delicious vegan food out of a completely nut-free kitchen! The decor is eclectic and welcoming, and our server was extremely kind and friendly. Not only was the food delicious but very reasonably priced as well! Easy recommendation, definitely come here if you’re in Denver, whether looking specifically for vegan food or just a great meal!

Okay this 5 stars comes with something extra! So the Coconut Bread Had me F’ed up and not because it was bad, it was actually better than sliced bread! It just tried to take me out in 4 games instead of extending it to a 7 game series in which I won! The coconut bread and Covid tried to hit me with the Dudley boys signature move the “3-D” the great was packed with more coconuts than a beach in scooby-doo movie. And Covid came in for the Detroit smash but luckily for me I’m a master of Ultra Instinct like my name was Son Goku Himself and I was able to avoid the allergic reaction and the virus that highlighted more trauma than an episode of true crime. Now I know what you are thinking , why would I dare eat a bread I’m allergic to ? Well let’s just say I didn’t know at the time and I’m just grateful that I know now. I’m happy to have escaped the clutches of both of those things after being down like Link fighting Gannondorf with only 3 hearts and no items. But I will say this go try the bread you won’t regret it unless you are allergic or have GI issues and Covid comes in for the hot tag days later then you might have some reservations or you just like to cry in the face of a good meal! Some of us are built different! Either way have a great day America!
