Nice place. Good food. Decent service. $30-60 a plate. BUT……..Be aware of the 20% gratuity added automatically and then a nice message at the bottom of your receipt asking for more gratuity. Are they expecting a 40% tip?

Went to Bar Dough during Happy Hour but ended up getting Nonna’s Dinner - where you select 3 items for a coursed meal. I am not sure I would recommend unless you really love rich desserts. The tuna was OK, nothing to write home about. The pasta and the pizza were the standouts. Absolutely delicious. And honestly, the Aperol spritzes on happy hour were maybe the best I’ve had in Denver. PERFECT ratio! I recommend getting a reservation at a table, because the high tops were uncomfortable (we asked to move). The music they were playing too was a 10/10!!!

The food and drink was great! Service was good, except for one person who made a rude comment- I think he was a kitchen staff person. Low rating because despite the yummy food and wine, it was so loud we could not enjoy our time. The music was blaring- and they would not turn it down. Very small space and it was packed, so that combination meant not being able to enjoy dinner with my mom. Would try again, but maybe sitting outside on the patio in the summer where the noise might be lower.
Food and service were excellent! Best garlic bread I’ve ever had. Unfortunately they have a 20% service charge that is hidden until the check comes. This is on top of whatever tip you’d like to give. I’ve never seen this before but it felt like I’d been duped. The food was worth 20% more, just increase your prices! I’m not a fan of being surprised on a final bill.

Food was good, service not good. The server was very awkward and as if she didn’t know why she was there. Come to find out the tip was included already so it didn’t matter the service provided. Can’t say I’d recommend it

I've come back for dinner twice since my original visit to Bar Dough in December 2025 and each experience has been uniformly great! The italian-themed menu is surprisingly original and creative, and takes advantage of the local Colorado bounty. The ambience is intimate, warm, and upbeat, accentuated by an eclectic mix of modern music. The service at the bar has been outstanding, and the wine list, while a bit limited, does feature some excellent choices that pair well with the food. Featured in the photos are the elk rack, with a beautiful, understated heat from the calabrian chilis, and the budino, adorned with an interesting apple cider agro dolce. I would highly recommend!

First time visiting and we loved it. The meal was delicious and our server, Kat, was fantastic! We would highly recommend Bar Dough!
We did dinner for four here on a Friday. The food is actually pretty decent, but is dreadfully expensive for what you get. To top it off a soft drink is $5 with no refills, I was somewhat shocked to find I paid $10 for two Diet Pepsis.
Our service was somewhat slow and we had to flag down our waiter for drink refills. Our pizza arrived much later than the rest of the food as well.
To top it all off there is a mandatory service charge of 20% that isn’t reflected on the menu pricing, which brings the food to pretty eye watering expense for middle of the road service.

Really good pasta and cocktails were also good. Seating can be a little challenging at the community table. A lot of traffic while dinning.

Haven't visited in a few years as we live in Longmont. Forget how excellent it is! Both the pizzas and pastas were spot on. Service was spot on and the restaurant is super cute. The wine program is a bit limited but covers a lot of ground and we found a couple of nice bottles. Now that they back on our radar sure we'll be back more often! A+

This place is amazeballs!!! The food is impeccable and the service is outstanding! Especially Kat!!!
Made a reservation for 4 adults and a toddler. They sat us directly under a speaker that had loud music playing. Service was good. Meatball app was OK in taste but they literally fell into tiny pieces when we tried to cut them. Garlic bread was good. Chicken piccata was decent as were the other pasta dishes we got. Caramel ice cream tasted burnt. Not a place for families due to the loud atmosphere.
Feast of seven fishes with wine pairings was wonderful. Great service. Appreciate gluten free accommodations!!
No need to ever visit another spot in town once you've met this team and tasted their cuisine. As our local fav spot, they also just earned our catering business for life after saving our company party with exquisite service and quality. Stefy and Jamie are 6-stars!!

Great experience at Bar Dough this evening. We came in as a party of six to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. Bar Dough folks were incredibly welcoming and gracious from the moment we arrived. Space was great and good energy without being overwhelming. Food was delicious - we ended up sharing couple pasta dishes, couple pizzas and a couple entrees. Such a fun night - thanks Bar Dough for making it special!
