First time here. What a surprise to find first class seafood in the Rockies. Nice vibe, extraordinary service, very personable staff. And then great eating, The oyster selection is terrific. Very knowledgeable staff on varietals. Chilean sea bass was done perfectly. Highly recommend the miso treatment. Well chosen wine list to complement the fare. We will be back soon.
So disappointed. Oysters are mediocre and not cleanly shucked. Calamari looks like fried chicken nuggets and is so rubbery it was inedible. The tuna taco clearly didn't have fresh tuna. Shrimp taco was way over sauced. Fries are bland. Drink was sour and unbalanced. On to of everything, our waiter was dismissive and flakey. Would never recommend this place
Service was great. Lobster rolls were dry and blah. Truffle martini was great! Awesome location too
We had a lovely time and our wait person was exceptional! We started with Oysters followed by my husband having crab legs and I had the lobster avocado salad. It was all fantastic as well as the drinks. I would recommend this restaurant. We were there fairly early so the noise was not too bad but I can imagine it gets loud later on.
Mondays they have oysters for $1.35/ea with proper presentation. I got the mixed grill blackened which was very good. Server was awesome
We've NEVER had a bad experience at either Blue Oyster locations which is why we keep coming back. Last night, however was a different story. It started out well, we got a dozen of oysters and drinks then put in our dinner order. That's when it all started falling apart. We waited for almost one hour for our food to be delivered. I saw people order, get their food and leave before we got ours. They gave us each a half glass of champagne on the house as well as our dessert to go but it was pretty disappointing.
I stopped going here years ago because I found I didn't get value for the high price of the food. A buy one, get one free entree offer brought me in again. The crispy brussel sprouts were great. The mahi mahi was tough because it was over cooked and it had no flavor. I guess the mango salsa was supposed to supply the flavor. It barely met that goal. Overall it was a under whelming experience.
Noah was awesome and gave us great guidance for our lunch experience at BIOB. Delicious oysters, clams, lobster and more!
Always a reliable, fun place with Friday night vibe on a Monday. New server Noah possibly best server we've ever had. Wide variety of selections for hungry or just a grazer.
We went here to celebrate my birthday and it was amazing! The shrimp taco is the best taco I've ever had in my life, and I lived on the beach for 8 years.

Even though they were super busy due to the oyster special, our server was amazing, the food came out quick, and everyone was very nice.
Our server, Ashleigh G was terrific. She accommodated our special requests with a smile and made us feel right at home.
Blue Island has the best weekly deals anywhere. And National Oyster Day was superb! Somehow the shuckers kept up with our order of dozens!
We always love coming to Blue Island Oyster Bar – the energy is fun and an east coast decor, plus great waitpeople like Randy made our experience amazing as usual. We usually come for Happy Hour. This time it was National Oyster Day so the oysters and 1/2 price bottles of wine were a great value. We love the happy hour menu as well. The happy hour prices for the food have gone up this year (like so many other things) but still a good value. We're already looking forward to the next time!
Highly recommend! Our lunch was outstanding! Lobster avocado salad, clam chowder, oysters & lobster roll sandwich were all excellent!
