The 99 cent Monday oysters are the best deal! The rest of the food was average. The happy hour menu is well priced and has great drinks
TLDR: lobster roll is not a lobster roll anymore. Filled with cheap shrimp mixed with lobster. Paying $40 for 3oz of shrimp/lobster mix is insane.
So disappointing that they changed their lobster roll to a new blend with shrimp in it, so they could increase profit. They did not change the price but added cheap farm raised shrimp.
Changes the quality of the roll entirely. What used to be my favorite lobster roll in Colorado is now my least favorite. BRING BACK 100% lobster in the lobster roll or DO NOT call it a lobster roll. It’s not a lobster roll if it has SHRIMP in it.
Bring back the lobster roll. If prices went up, increase the price. Don’t ruin it by adding shrimp in it! Happy to remove review when the LOBSTER roll is back. :)
We visited for a Saturday happy hour and were seated on the patio. The oysters, fish slider, and trout dip were solid. The ahi tuna taco was probably the best bite. Would skip the salmon teriyaki slider every time. Service was friendly.

If you LOVE oysters, then you should be a regular here. Top tier everything. Service was exactly what it should be. Very attentive. I'll be again there tomorrow.
They have a happy hour plus everyday specials! Monday, during season is .99 oysters and they did not disappoint. The curry cauliflower and calamari were on point! The girls will definitely be back on Monday Mondays! Our server was fantastic!

Portions keep getting smaller and the service keeps getting worse. For the price, the value just isn’t there anymore. It’s disappointing to see the decline in quality and customer service. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning anytime soon.

First visit and utterly impressed. The variety of menu options is astounding. Lunch specials, oyster menu, lobster roll specials etc. Excellent marketing. Jackson was outstanding, knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to deal with. We definitely will return for oyster Monday.

I’ve been here three times and have had a wonderful experience each time. The oysters are so fresh with amazing flavors, the Truffle Martini is one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had, and we’ve received excellent service from everyone. For being an upscale establishment, they offer fantastic deals on their happy hour menu.
Though all our servers have been great, I want to give a special shoutout to ASHLEY! Her timing and attentiveness were outstanding and she provided some of the best service and I’ve ever received at any restaurant.
I will certainly be back!
Great food. We ran the gammut from oysters, to fish sandwich, peel and eat shrimp, and lobster salad. All good, no complaints

My girlfriend and I had a great experience here. The food was great, service was timely and attentive, and the manager in particular made us feel welcome. Josephine (manager) came to chat with us twice and we felt she was genuinely interested in how our experience was. Josephine is the type of employee a restaurant needs. Highly recommended at this Lone Tree location.

I dined in at Blue Island Oyster on 5/23 for their Lobster Riot Special. We had the most incredible waiter. His name was Aaron. I have worked in fine dining for quite some time and I was absolutely blown away but his customer service. Usually in fine dining anticipating customer needs as well as helping guest with the next step is what proves how well hospitality in a restaurant can be. Not only was he very sweet and very personable but a memory I can’t say I’ve ever had was when he dropped the lobster I had ask how to sort of dive into eating it and breaking the whole Maine lobster apart. Aaron then not only acknowledged my concern in a graceful manner but had insisted on putting on gloves and helping me table side! While helping me with breaking apart the lobster he explained how to do it step by step and I can now do this again the next time I come in or eat lobster ever! Adding that learning experience for me made this dining expierence absolutely unforgettable. Aaron is truly a gem! I hope to have him every time we dine here 🥂

We went there last weekend on Sunday and had 4 entrees. One of us had the seabass which was good, and one of us had the stuffed 1/2 lobster tail, but to use the term stuffed is overly generous. Two of us had the Connecticut style lobster tail sandwich at $38 each, which came with cole slaw or fries or some of both. While the presentation and taste were fine, it is hard to be satisfied with the amount of lobster in a small hot dog like bun which is then mixed with small shrimp and on a butter lettuce leaf. It may have come from a 6 oz tail or maybe less.
I have had this item in the past at this restaurant for a lower price and remember it when they first opened. It was mostly just lobster meat alone with the butter and it had good flavor and seemed a bit more satisfying, but it also was not a meal on its own. I usually had clam chowder with it. The real problem is the lack of availability of lobster and it's price inflation. Both have impacted the price of a lobster roll here, and at other restaurants that sell them and at food trucks also. My best recent experience was with a food truck where it was just the lobster and butter with the bun. I got two and it satisfied my craving for under $30 per roll. My point is that if you have memories of lobster rolls of the past, and have that craving, then don't order it here, and do shop around for a better value or make them at home (prices for the lobster tails have gone up in grocery stores too) where you can get what you crave with inflation anticipated in the price. Trying to make it appear as an entre by adding stuff to it does not deliver a product that meets my expectation.

We got caught in the blizzard and had to fill in a quick lunch that was canceled. They had a special on the lobster rolls. I was with a work friend so we got two different styles and shared. The blt and the Connecticut version. It was very tasty. We came up with an idea they ought to do a flight and do them on sliders since they have 4 styles. Great place.
