It’s a nice place but improvement could be made.

On a Friday night, they are extremely under staffed and over booked. Only 4 people were in the kitchen, one host, and a few servers. I arrived on time for my appointment, but getting seated, getting orders put in, and wait for food took over 80 minutes (including the starter dish which is simply bread and butter). Everyone was apologizing for the wait but nothing was done for compensation.

I worked at fine dinning place and it shouldn’t be acceptable to leave the customer with empty table for over 40 minutes for this level of restaurant. Free drink or starter should been offered.

As we waiting for the food, we can see the finished food were seating there for an extended period of time and everyone was too busy to delivery them. The fries were fairly cold and the bread on the bottom of the burger is soggy.

I didn’t give one star because the staffs are polite and the food is actually not bad (if it is hot when it’s delivered). Management team of this place should be responsible for this terrible experience.

Ajax at the Limelight Hotel took truly world-class care of us from start to finish. The service was dialed in, the vibe was perfect, and Justin absolutely crushed it with his recommendations. I went with the pork chop, my girlfriend had the duck—both were spot on and cooked to perfection. Not a single miss all night. You can tell when someone actually knows the menu and cares about your experience, and Justin didn’t miss a beat. We’ll 100% be back.

1. Bartender was unprofessional. He was complaining about a temp employee that didn't know what he was doing and didn't speak English. At the same time the bartender forgot to put our food order in and messed up our drinks. It was not a welcoming environment for those of us that speak multiple languages. 2. Breakfast - short staffed, food was cold - even the coffee served was cold. Staff was kind and remedied the issues but it was a strange experience.

We had Ajax for dinner and also breakfast (via room service) in the morning. Our meal was fantastic, lots of flavor packed into just a few dishes. The duck is especially impressed (both for dinner and breakfast) along with the Miso Blondie. Our server (Chris, sp?) took great care of us while also managing a very large group. If you like duck or dry aged food, I highly recommend Ajax.

The food at Ajax Denver Downtown is really, really good, and our dinner server both nights was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and genuinely focused on making our experience great.

However, a brunch takeout issue with the manager left a very bad impression.

We placed a to-go brunch order in the morning after being told there would be a 45-minute wait. The receptionist wrote down the order along with our room number and phone number and said we’d be called when it was ready. After waiting over an hour, I returned to pick it up and was told by the manager that no order existed at all.

Instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the situation, she insisted the order was never placed and told me to reorder and wait another 30 minutes. When I explained how frustrating this was after already waiting an hour, her responses were dismissive and unprofessional, including “Do you want the food or not?” and sarcastic comments about needing a time machine to get our time back.

Mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability, empathy, and professionalism was the real issue. A simple apology or effort to fix the situation would have gone a long way.

Amazing food and great servers, but management seriously affected the overall experience.

We had breakfast everyday here during our stay at Limelight. The venue is nice, service is very attentive and fast and environment is overall great.

I always had the all American breakfast which was on point each time, eggs were great, the potatoes were delicious. With my husband we shared the steel cut outs which I also highly recommend. The first day my husband asked for the steak frites which was a bit underwhelming but the rest of the days he had the all American too and loved it.

We stayed at the Limelight Hotel and decided to have dinner at their restaurant. The service was amazing from start to finish. I was a bit disappointed that the wine I like was only available by the bottle and not by the glass. That said, the food was great—my husband had the duck, and I had the wagyu burger, and both were excellent. Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience.

Our service was good. It just took a long time to get waiters on in the beginning. All food was great everyone was kind.

Very disappointing experience. We were quoted a 15 minute wait, but had to wait almost an hour. When we were finally sat for breakfast they were out of Bloody Mary mix and sourdough bread. I ordered an avocado toast with egg and the egg came on the side. Tainted an otherwise pleasant stay at the Limelight hotel.

Sat 15 min after scheduled reservation. Hostess said she would text and never did, so I finally asked again. Sat down and neighboring table was watching Instagram videos at full volume and none of the staff said anything. Food came out an hour after ordering. Breakfast shouldn't take that long. None of the staff seemed to care or ask how we were doing. Very poor and wouldn't go back.
