I was worried about the service after seeing the reviews, but it was great! Very attentive and friendly. Heather our waitress was fantastic. We enjoyed our evening. Jack the bartender took good care of us and we had lots of staff stopping by to see if we needed anything. Food was delicious.

First time dining at Ajax in Denver. Excellent selection on main menu with inventive cocktails. Service was amazing! My party was there after the regular closing time for the restaurant and we felt zero pressure to get wrapped up with our meal and leave. Will definitely recommend!

Came here before an event at Ball Arena, drinks were comped because we were there 1.5 hours and the entrees had still not come. Worse is the manager was hiding on the expo line when the kitchen wasn't very busy (restaurant less than half full). Not sure if the server forgot to ring in our order or what happened, but the poor experience coupled with a manager that's too scared to go to a table is inexcusable.

Went 2 hours before an event at Ball Arena. Food did not arrive for over an hour and a half and drink service did not happen after the first round even though the restaurant was maybe half full. Would not recommend unless you're wanting an extremely long and leisurely meal.

We had a business dinner at Ajax. The food was great but service could have been a little bit more attentive.

Excellent location close to Union Station with fantastic food and drinks. Highly recommend the roasted cabbage.

How do I send my private note? I would like for you to improve, but don't want to have my note posted.

The new prep on hamburger, supposed to be high end wagyu beef were smashed and dried out patties. The old version much better. You don't need wagyu to do a smash burger

Absolutely phenomenal breakfast. Staff is super friendly.

went for breakfast while staying at the Limelight. It was not busy at all maybe 6 tables full and the waiter took forever to come over to start orders. When we asked to order our food with the drinks the waiter was rude and clearly annoyed that we wanted to put our food order in as well. Made a comment about pouring the coffee before taking our orders which we discussed and after we said no thanks we just want to put the order in as we were on a time crunch and it already took awhile. He never ended up pouring the coffee, brining over creamer or checking in at all until the food came out. Food took 25 mins for scrambled eggs and the driest piece of toast I’ve ever had. Then the kicker is he would not make eye contact or come over to us while we waited for the check. Another waiter took our plates so we asked him to bring the check, he said of course and then never brought it. I had to ask the hostess to bill the room as we needed to be out, and she literally ran over to us as we waited for her to get the check by the door acting like we were running out on the bill. Probably the worst breakfast experience I’ve had here and I’ve stayed before and had the breakfast. Overall unorganized and lazy vibe from the staff this morning. I never write reviews normally but we were blown away by how this mornings experience went.

We enjoyed the former Citizen Rail many times, and glad to see that Ajax Downtown is even better! Dustin and the maitre’d really made us feel welcome, as we celebrated our 37th anniversary. When Dustin heard that the Brut Rose was too dry and a little sour for my wife, he swapped it for prosecco, which was perfect. They split the kale and Brussel sprout Caesar salad onto two plates for us (tangy, creamy dressing) and we had perhaps the best sourdough we’ve ever had: grilled, with burrata and basil. The 16oz ribeye was something I couldn’t do at home, with a rub and basal—truly memorable. Dustin was kind enough to comp us the gelato and sorbet (the pina colada sorbet was creamy and perfect). I think we have a new favorite!

The food and drinks were great and good portions but the restaurant wasn't very busy at all but it seemed like our waitress would disappear for long periods of time

Food was not great, slow service and plates were being dropped non stop by service staff. Seriously like 5 times. Will not be back.
