We had Ajax for dinner and also breakfast (via room service) in the morning. Our meal was fantastic, lots of flavor packed into just a few dishes. The duck is especially impressed (both for dinner and breakfast) along with the Miso Blondie. Our server (Chris, sp?) took great care of us while also managing a very large group. If you like duck or dry aged food, I highly recommend Ajax.
Order the chicken and a salad and it took over 40 mins. Watched two tables get food before us and it wasn't even acknowledged
Our service was good. It just took a long time to get waiters on in the beginning. All food was great everyone was kind.
Sat 15 min after scheduled reservation. Hostess said she would text and never did, so I finally asked again. Sat down and neighboring table was watching Instagram videos at full volume and none of the staff said anything. Food came out an hour after ordering. Breakfast shouldn't take that long. None of the staff seemed to care or ask how we were doing. Very poor and wouldn't go back.
We waited for about twenty minutes before we were offered water and drinks. We gave our complete order then and it was almost another fifty minutes before we got our food. Several other parties that came in after us were served before us. If the staff had acknowledged and/or apologized for the delay, I probably would not have said anything. But when we asked about our food, it was as though we had unreasonable expectations.
Ajax Downtown Denver is a little-known gem in the LoDo neighborhood. Its primary audience is guests of the Limelight Hotel, and Ajax doesn't extensively advertise in the surrounding neighborhood. Which is too bad, as it's become the go-to fave of my wife and me. That's because it's so homelike, unpretentious, and friendly. The menu isn't extensive; still, there's enough to keep you from too much repetition. Prices are midpoint for downtown Denver, but the every day happy hour has the best prices we've experienced at the great many eateries in Ajax's upscale area. Bottom line: Give Ajax a chance. I bet you'll be back.
great service, nice bar selection and happy hour menu! great spot for an after work drink at the bar, or team dinner in the dining room.
My go-to place to pregame for the Nuggets. Menu Is always changing and the staff is great!

Decent dinner at high end prices.
Steak is OK, good medium rare cook, good crust, beefy, the only thing not up to bar is not very tender but is ok. Fries is very crunchy but a bit too much seasoning makes it too salty.

Got food poisoning from undercooked pork on a slower Tuesday. Service was slow. Ordered the foccacia, too charred on the outside.

We stayed at the Limelight Hotel for four nights and had breakfast at Ajax three mornings in a row. Every morning, my husband had the latte, and I had the cappuccino, both solid, but the real highlight was the care and execution from the kitchen staff.
On our first day, I ordered the steak and eggs. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the scrambled eggs were the fluffiest I’ve ever had, clearly cooked low and slow with intention. The breakfast potatoes were crisp and plentiful. The next day’s omelet was just as delicious.
For our last evening, we ordered room service, and I finally tried the duck entrée I’d been eyeing all week. Even delivered to our room, the skin was beautifully crispy, and the smoky flavor was absolutely divine. You can tell the kitchen team takes real pride in their food. Highly recommend Ajax!

Not a great experience, food came out cold, we were charged for things we didn't order. We had things brought to our table we didn't order and then were charged for them, and no apology was made for any of our attempts to explain
Our server was excellent, and the short rib was one of the best things we've ever tasted, anywhere, ever.
