Deja Roux Cajun & Soul Food Truck

Best catfish I’ve had in Denver hands down. Owner is southern hospitality personified. Got the mini catfish platter while enjoying a beers at 4 noses and it hit the spot. Catfish was crispy, perfectly seasoned, and juicy. The hush puppies were good, and the bed of Cajun fries were solid enough on their own and great to dip in the 4 sauces (ketchup, cocktail, remoulade, and the ever important Crystal hot sauce). If you see this truck or are craving some NOLA food just do it.

The catfish. Ours was cooked *perfectly* in the most heavenly sense I can imagine. It was light, buttery, flaky, that perfect marriage between tender and falling apart. Oh and the hush puppies were delightful, and the fried green tomatoes were succulent. If you manage to see this truck, make the effort to order from them and you will not be disappointed.

The "no burn" hush puppies were quite varied in their spice level, some of which were moderately spicy. The mahi mahi sandwich I ordered cooked through was very undercooked. I had to bring it home to finish cooking it before it was edible. Decent after that. I like that they use gulf shrimp, probably the most sustainable and ethical shrimp we have here in the states.

Yummy burger! I was uncomfy with how rare it was served but the service was amazing. They gave me a new burger, cooked how I preferred, and were VERY kind and quick about it. Def recommend for the service but also the quality!

The Mississippi catfish po' boy was everything. Had it at Four Noses, owner is super nice.

Catfish was fried perfectly. Light and flaky catfish with a nice crispy breading. I’ve had my fair share of fried catfish and this is some of the best ever. Will go back for more.

Finally found a place in denver that has good catfish. The fish was actually seasoned and tasted good. Only bad thing is the price. $24 for one fillet that is cut in half to make it seem like two haha, fries and hush puppies is pretty high. Other than that the food was good. I also wish they would have more locations near Aurora/east denver. Arvada and Golden are just so far.
