I hesitate to add yet another 5-star review to this place, remembering how it once got too popular and the owner had to shut it down from sheer overwhelm. I'm so glad it's back, it's truly a gem. Every time I go the menu changes slightly, but always it is homestyle food, of a kind and quality that you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere outside the coasts or, well, Japan. The museum and garden out back are superb as well.
Service very slow. One appetizer was not delivered until asked about and then served with entrees. Entrees were served mismatch over 15 minutes. One wasn't served until asked about again. Some people thought the food was pretty good, while others were not impressed. Overall, we will not be returning.
Wow, first time here. Everything was Great. I ordered a Hotspot and it was great, the broth was very good and went well with the chicken. The service was good. The atmosphere was one of the best things, it has many old items used in Japan on the inside but the seating outside was just as great, it is an Japanese garden that you get to relax and enjoy your meal in. Excellent.
