Way overpriced for what you get. Mind you I'm from Chicago so I know how expensive restaurants can be. The crab cake was among the best I've had and very large. Perfect for sharing. The steaks were good.

Always has been amazing but today 1/29 around 3pm stood at the host stand for 5-10 minutes zero help at all we just left
This was one of the best breakfasts we've ever had. The ambience is perfect, the steak and eggs were amazing, which highlight the Elway filet mignon, as well as the amazing Dubai chocolate pastry, with an immense amount of pistachio, and topping off with a fabulous cocktail, the maple bacon old-fashioned. There's nothing like it.
Good food, but the portion was small.

Excellent steak. Enjoyable atmosphere. And quality service. Stopped in for dinner before heading to a show in downtown and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service at Elway's.

A bit disappointed. After eating at all the national steak restaurants we decided to try the local option. First the good: the ribeye was very good. It had a nice char with good beefy flavor. Clearly a prime cut with nice rendered fat. Medium is pretty red here, which was great for me, a bit to rear for my wife. The service was a bit out of sorts. We had multiple servers, but they covered it. A nice loaf of crunchy sourdough bread was very good. The wedge salad was over dressed. The flavor was good and I suggest ordering dressing on the side. The real downfall was the crab cake. It was more like crab flavored paste patty. It was all blended with no visible crab. Certainly not even close to the quality expected. Resist the temptation to order. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff is very nice. For the price, I expect much more.

Had a wonderful dinner this past weekend, everything was delicious except Elways Salmon and one of our desserts. Sadly our server was too busy to attend to us and we had plans later in the evening that couldn’t be delayed. The beurre blanc sauce was just watery butter, no seasoning and the salmon could’ve cooked a bit more and the cheesecake was overcooked. It was too grainy and eggy, like it was cooked by portions and not a whole cake. A basque is known for its burnt top which was not present in ours.

Me & my husband have dined at Elways in the past and we’re always pretty happy. We were excited to comeback with Denver being in the playoffs so we made ourselves a reservation for 8:30pm. We arrived at the restaurant on time and were told they were running behind on reservations which is fine. Then after approximately 15-20 mins they offered a bar area table which I assume was more for first come bar patrons. I declined the table since it was an anniversary dinner and wanted an actual dinning area table. The host eventually lead us to an available dining table in the back. We sat down at the table and ordered our food. We had asked for Disaronno but the waiter was unaware of what that was and had to check with the bar for its availability; which they did not have. We had planned on ordering the Tomahawk but was told there was none available so we settled with the Porter house steak, lobster, and Cesar salad. Our salads arrived quickly but were not offered with fresh ground pepper like they usually are. Approximately 30 mins after our salads arrived we were offered a tomato soup and bread and a free drink for our patience. 30 more minutes had passed and other restaurant patrons began to speak loudly to their respective waiters about the service time. Thereafter our waiter approached us and stated he didn’t want to waist anybody else’s time and the expected waiting time for our food was an additional 30 mins. By the time we had received our food it would’ve been an hour and a half to two hours since we initially ordered. At this time we declined to wait any longer and offered to pay what we did consume. The waiter declined and said the ticket would be taken care of. We departed the restaurant and decided we wouldn’t come back again. Staff looked overwhelmed and confused with the amount of people in their restaurant and bar area; I would expect a restaurant such as Elways to be more prepared for big events in Denver such as a Playoffs but they seemed to not have been. People were in and out of the restaurant when they should’ve considered those who made a reservation especially on such a busy night after a huge game. Oh well 🤷🏽♀️
No point in making a reservation here, me and my girlfriend had a reservation at 7:30 and arrived on time, we then had to wait 40 minutes for a table. For a restaurant that doesn't take walk-ins they sure handle reservations poorly.
El restaurante estaba muy lleno. Se tardaron más de 1 hora en traer lo que pedimos. Nos regalaron bebidas y postre, pero aún así, el tiempo de espera fue demasiado.

Amazing food! Very very very expensive, the only issue when we were there was the server was overbooked on tables and was frustrating getting his attention through the dinner.

Extraordinaria cena , la comida espectacular y todo perfecto. 100% recomendable, volvería siempre Felicidades
Elways wasn't busy and underdelivered. It was my 50th birthday and wanted to have dinner with my family at a high end steakhouse. The appetizers arrived late and the waiter didn't check to see if the salads n calamari were good. Our main course of steaks arrived an hour later, cold and not cooked properly. The side dishes arrived 15 mins afterwards. We voiced our frustrations to the manager on duty and he comped the entire meal but 50 th birthday experience was indeed a forgettable one
Elway's at the Ritz-Carlton in downtown Denver delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is elegant yet comfortable, making it a perfect setting for a relaxed but upscale evening. Every dish we ordered was beautifully prepared and full of flavor, and the overall pacing of the meal was just right. Everything felt thoughtful and well-executed, creating a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. What truly made the night stand out was the service. Special thanks to Alex, our server, for providing outstanding, attentive, and genuinely warm service. Alex was knowledgeable, professional, and made us feel welcome throughout the entire meal. The attention to detail and care elevated the experience to another level. Elway's is a fantastic choice for a memorable dining experience in downtown Denver. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it—especially if you're lucky enough to have Alex taking care of you.
Along with our good friends, we had dinner at Elway's last Saturday before going to the theater. We were regular customers at the Cherry Creek North location before they closed. The steaks were excellent, however, we were disappointed with the asparagus side and “ding ding” dessert. The asparagus was removed from our check when we raised a concern with our server.
