Fantastic restaurant. Came here with a friend, just a quiet, unassuming restaurant on a Monday night. The egg drop soup was delicious, rich in flavor with silky eggs. Prawns in lobster sauce had a wonderful flavor. Plenty of cashews (with an equal amount of celery) in the Cashew chicken. 10/10 for both dishes.

Staff is VERY friendly & the price is perfect for the large portion of food.

Kind of bland. They describe their General Tso's chicken as spicy, and there's not a hint of spice anywhere. Like pretty much all Chinese restaurants anymore, it's just sugary sweet with a sauce that wastes like corn syrup and soy sauce, but no spice. I'd give anything to find a place that ACTUALLY makes a spicy General Tso Chicken anymore. Oh, and there are no peppers and onions in it either.

I spotted the sign for JJ’s Chinese Bistro on the second floor while walking through the neighborhood — not something you see every day — and had to check it out. My friend and I stopped in for dinner, and even though it was quiet at first, we were greeted by a friendly woman who made us feel right at home.
She helped us choose dishes (spicy Mongolian beef for me, General Tso’s chicken for my friend) and even let us pick our spice level — I went with 4/5, which was perfect. The food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The steamed dumplings and eggrolls were delicious, and we added a side of garlic broccoli that was so good we couldn’t stop eating.
Service was quick, warm, and genuine — you can tell they really appreciate their customers.
If you’re nearby, **look up** from your phone and find this little upstairs treasure. JJ’s is the kind of place you’ll be glad you discovered!

While I would usually give a run of the mill Chinese restaurant 3 stars, JJ bistro is above average. A nice AC and dinning area. Friendly staff, good food, and large portions for the money.
10/10 this place is great. If you are in the square it's worth a trip up the stairs to grab a bite to eat. The food is great and the service is better.

On 7/17/25 My husband and I ate dinner here and it was the worst tasting Chinese food I've ever eaten. Everything was served with a huge amount of celery and nothing much of anything else. The taste was also the worst. Really bad experience.
