Kokoro is possibly my favorite dining spot in all of Denver. Each location serves delicious Japanese comfort food at reasonable prices in a warm amd inviting atmosphere. The beef curry bowl is a personal favorite that I always order with a side of beautiful and lightly fried shrimp (Ebi Furai). Prices are beyond reasonable for the quality and quantity diners receive.

I’ve heard raving reviews from reddit, to the local newspaper, to friends around so I had to try. The food was comforting and delicious, and the green tea was perfectly brewed. My favorite aspect was the atmosphere; warm and inviting, sweet staff, nice music, and seeing A LOT of loyal/returning customers. It was well populated at 5pm on a Friday! Nice to see. I took one star off because every single dish - my tea cup, tea pot, ramen spoon, soy sauce dish, and dessert bowl - had dried on food from previous meals or was grimey. Please have a conversation with the persons doing dishes. Nevertheless I would come back.

Like other reviews state- some dishes are better than others. I’ve been here a few times & really enjoyed the forest soup, the pickled salad & some of their apps. The wings are great. The sushi is a little too heavy on rice, you can hardly taste anything else. They seem to have a ton of beverages but they aren’t on the menu-they should probably fix that. Service was excellent! Everything was quick and nice.

Good prices, good food, good service. Parking lot is a bit hard to get in and out of, especially when the drive through traffic is high

The salmon onigiri is delicious! The tuna onigiri was a little too salty for me but it was still good. The gyoza is perfect! A little small, but the gyoza sauce is so yummy!!!

I would give this place a 3.5 if I could.
To start, the place was very nice and interesting. The staff was was very kind and attentive. They even helped me sign up for rewards which gave me a 40% discount!!!! Now the food...
We order an Iced tea and hot green tea. Both were very delicious. I got the miso soup and a tuna onigiri. It came wrapped so I am unsure if it was pre-packaged. It was so, so, so, salty. I thought maybe it was the first bite, nope, the whole thing tasted salty. Far more saltier than seaweed should be. The miso soup was hot and nothing special, bland almost.
We also order the miso ramen and beef curry bowl. The miso ramen was so delicious. So rich and brothy. Especially with this spicy paste(sauce?) they gave us. The curry bowl at first glance is nothing special but it was very yummy. All of it together, the rice, the sauce, the beef. It all paired perfectly together.
For dessert we go green tea mochi. They were delivered frozen solid but they were so good. (You can't really mess up ice cream mochi.)
I recommend this place but some items are better than others.

I love the food here. I eat the healthiest dishes like the vege bowl, green salad with an Asian dressing, brown rice, miso soup and green tea. It's fresh, I love their pickled red ginger on my vege bowl along with their dry spice. I like to taste my tea and their green tea was made strong enough to taste it. Its less than $3 and you get a coffee pot thermos container so you can refill your tea cup and sip tea through your whole meal as you converse.
