I very seldom feel the need to leave a bad review but OMG! I have eaten at Kona in other cities as well as in Denver but it has been over a year. I'm not sure what happened to the one at Cherry Creek but it was more than disappointing. The music playing in the restaurant was too loud to have a conversation, the service was not good, the prices are way too high for what is on the plate and my food was inedible. I was dining with a friend and she knocked her water glass over all over herself and the table and no one came over to help clean it up. Even when the server brought over the food she just worked around the puddles until we told her we needed it cleaned off. I ordered hot tea and the sugar packet was soaked on the saucer. Should have had sugar and salt and pepper on the table but there was none. I had to flag down the bus person to bring me some. I ordered sea bass fish and chips and received completely unseasoned shredded white fish in a patty with nothing else but unseasoned panko on it, and even the fries were unseasoned and I paid $39 for tasteless diner food! I'm serious, what happened to Kona??? It used to be such good and upscale food!

Loved the chill atmosphere and the food was delicious. We ordered the Las Vegas roll and macadamia nut chicken, the portions were perfect, and after coming here several times the food is always just as delicious. Our server Tommy was very attentive and nice throughout the entire process.

I haven’t been here in a while and I was hoping everything would be the same as before. To my surprise, it was even better!! First of all our server Tommy was just the nicest guy ever and was very attentive to our table. You don’t teach this kind of customer service you’re just born with it. I got the classic macadamia nut chicken and I licked my plate. Love love love the chicken. Need the recipe for sure I can eat it every day. The Las Vegas Roll tasted fresh and I’m certain real crab was used. I love the tempura style and lightly fried. Amazing welcome back experience.

I don't know the bartender felt like he was ignoring us. He was really terrible but he was giving everybody else what they needed. Food was great but the service was terrible.

I went to Kona Grill yesterday and the experience was just alright. From a pricing standpoint, it's positioned as an upscale restaurant, but the atmosphere didn't match that at all. The chairs and tables looked old and worn, which gave the place a strange, almost neglected vibe. The food was okay, nothing memorable for the price you're paying. For how expensive the menu is, I expected a more polished environment and better overall experience. The manager also never came by to check on us, which felt odd for a restaurant at this price point. Overall, it felt like a restaurant charging premium prices but delivering a fairly cheap-looking experience.

The place has deteriorated from what it was a few years back. The Japanese is horrible and it is now has a noisy ugly bar feel that is not worth the money. It is really just a bar and grill place that is quite tired and noisy.

The food was good, but pricey. My only major issue was that the drink I had ended up having moldy raspberries in it. Didn't notice until I had finished the drink.

The music was ridiculously loud. We could not have a conversation at our table. The floor was very dirty with food and our table was so wobbly.

This was our 2nd Thanksgiving meal at Kona Grill Cherry Creek. Our server, Nadia, reaffirmed that we made the right decision to celebrate there. She made us feel welcomed and appreciated. The food quality is always great there and so is the service, but it just felt especially good this visit for our family of 4. 2 had sushi and Lobster Mac & Cheese, 1 had the steak burger and I had the Steak Frites. All were delicious. We're grateful for the attention of Nadia and the rest of the KG team. Thank you!

We had a wonderful Friendsgiving at Kona! The holiday menu was CLASSIC and absolutely delicious! The turkey was so flavorful and moist. The Macadamia Turkey was really good too, especially the sauce! The pumpkin cocktails were so good-especially the Pumpkin Margarita! Ambiance was perfect for us!

Amazing Thanksgiving menu options! The classic turkey dinner is a great option but that macadamia crusted turkey was one to write home about. Such a different mix of flavors on the classic dish. The green beans also stole the show for me and I may or may not try to copycat them. Pumpkin cocktails not too strong not too sweet pretty perfect and you cant go wrong with that pumpkin pie for dessert. Highly recommend Kona for that Thanksgiving dish!

I recently had dinner here for their Thanksgiving special, and the whole experience was amazing. The ambience was warm and lively, with cozy lighting and a great energy throughout the restaurant. The DJ really made the night—great music, perfect volume, and it added so much to the overall vibe. The Thanksgiving dinner itself was delicious: perfectly seasoned, generous portions, and everything tasted homemade and comforting. The standout drink of the night was the pumpkin margarita—smooth, balanced, and full of fall flavor without being too sweet. And for dessert, the pumpkin pie was incredible, with a rich, spiced filling and a buttery crust.
