Lovely cafe, peaceful and comfortable. No loud music, and the patrons weren't loud either. At least at the time I went. I was expecting most of the empanadas to be sweet. The spinach empanada was great, I will be ordering it again, and the coffee was excellent.
I really enjoyed my experience at Maria Empanada- very cozy atmosphere , good house wine, tasty deserts and good food- the one thing is that I found the sauces to be bland, and wish they had more spicy options.

I got a mate gourd from this place, although I wish I could’ve gotten more. Victor was so kind to show me all the options and teach me more about mate.

This cute little empanada spot is to die for. Food is amazing and fresh and never disappoints me. Been coming here for years and crave it more than I'd like to admit lol. You can't forget to try one of the desserts and the fresh squeezed orange juice ?. I spent over $40 but I needed to indulge since I don't live in the area anymore. That was for 3 vegetarian empanadas, creme brulee and a large fresh squeezed orange juice plus tip (because the staff here deserve it and are always smiling and cheerful). If you come to Denver you have to try the best empanadas in town ?Vegetarian options: There's 5 options I noticed for vegetarian empanadas that I noticed plus a itty bitty dessert optionDietary restrictions: I'm a vegetarian and they have an entire selection of vegetarian optionsParking: You might have to walk a short distance if they're busy cuz it's street parking but very much 100% worth itKid-friendliness: Always smiling and cheerful staff. A little bit of language barrier but I'm a white boy and only know a handful of words (but I'm learning cuz I work in a primarily Spanish speaking nursing facility)Wheelchair accessibility: It's ground level so definitely can accommodate a wheelchair which is important for me cuz I have a few friends that are confined to their wheelchair.

It is a good place to see pending work, coffee with friends, it is nice and pleasant, the empanadas are not bad but I expected more. Two salty empanadas and two small sweet ones with a coffee were just over 20 dollars. Parking not very accessible.
Exceptional empanadas. Had all three vegetarian kinds, and an amazing churro split between us. Cozy little space, great service. Lousy parking, but that's typical for the area. My 94 year old grandmother walked three blocks for these empanadas. They are that good.

I got a selection of both meat and vegetarian empanadas for dinner at home. I loved the vegetarian options with the caprese my favorite. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed the meat selection and the four different sauces.I will be back for more!! ?
