This is the best restaurant in Denver. I'm a chef and sommelier. Justin is so aware and conscious of his space and talent yet continues to push it to new heights every time I visit.

The food at ole major is still awesome . But the reason I USED to come to ole Major was the drinks. Now, let me be clear the "drinks" at ole Major are nice. But the real draw was the bartenders the people who would ask "what do like?" And build an amazing drink. Now, " hey take a look at the menu , and tell me what you like? I can go to a Denny's and get that. I couldn't be any more disappointed then I am as I write this review of what USED to be the best bar in all of Denver . I sad , hurt and don't want to pay my bar bill. But I will ...

Four of us went to dinner and used the Restaurant Week menu. Sausage appetizers were good but one scallop was lacking. Dinner for meat was great but again ,pork shank was good but salmon was weak and fairly tasteless. Maybe we should have just acknowledged that this is a meat place. Desserts were small, both cream based and not very exciting. The whole meal seemed overpriced for what was offered.

A lovely brunch with quality meats made in-house and eggs done to perfection. Got a bottle of champagne for a very reasonable price and very much enjoyed ourselves!

We have been to Old Major 3 or 4 times over the past few years. Each time is fantastic. The food, drinks and service are honestly some of the best in Denver. The steaks are phenomenal. The sides are delicious. The ham and biscuits are definitely a go-to as a starter. I do wish they had more single steak options because my wife doesnt like steak that much, and the only option for a really good steak are large steaks meant to be shared. Thats a small gripe though. We have also had Caleb as our server twice. The first time, everyone at our table remarked that he was the best server we've ever had, at any restaurant. We were sat in his section again the other night and we remembered him from the first time. He is friendly and extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu. He will offer suggestions and his opinions about each dish. I cant say enough good things about his service and how much a server can improve your experience. Next time we go here, I will request him if possible.

Frequented their previous location and was glad to find out they had simply moved to their sister restaurant (Old Major) to have more space and parking.

As part of moving from the old location to this one, they also changed the menu, removing their two best menu items, the brisket and the reuben.

We had reservations for a group of 8 for Saturday around 6:30. We made reservations couple weeks beforehand. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share. We ordered: Charcuterie with goat gouda cheese platter- delicious! must get! Hanger steak Large Format Steaks 3lb Berkshire Pork Chop Pork Fat Fries Seasonal Vegetables Brussels with Calabraian Lobster Risotto Nose To Tail Everything was good and the meats were so tender. But some dishes were way too salty. If the salt was cut back, it would be perfect. They also got a big bar area. A table of girls next to us were shocked how much food we ordered haha. We did finish most of the food too. We Asians are small but we can sure eat a lot. Wine bottles were cheap! Wines and cocktails were normal pricing. Service was good. They let you taste the wine if you have questions. Parking is street parking.

We came here from brunch on Saturday, and wow, was I pleasantly surprised. It was our first time here. Service was polite, friends, made you feel comfortable from the minute you walked in the door. As soon as we sat, our waiter Hector came by, gave us time to look at the menu, we picked some cocktails and still gave us time to decide - no pressure at all. The menu was not large, and had a great variety. I respect a place that has a 'cookable' menu - it's a sign of a great kitchen & chef. So nothing was calling my attention, (i'm a WEIRD breakfast person) and I ordered the banana bread french toast, with a side of an egg over easy, and bacon. Hubby had the Spicy Rooster with Pork Fat Fries. My 3 plates were brought to the table first, and hubby suggested to start eating so things didn't get cold. I did. WOW. The banana bread was not overtly sweet (JUST PERFECT FOR ME), and the 'french toast' didn't overdo it in egg. Now the egg looked perfect, but I was looking for salt on the table, and decided to take a bite of the white, as I waited for Hector or another server to come by & ask for salt. MY EGGS DID NOT NEED SALT. Let's understand the gravity of this. Never ever, have I had perfect eggs served at a restaurant. The right amount of salt was already done. Unbelievable. Honestly. I wouldn't doubt if the chef worked at WD50.. (inside chef egg knowledge). My husbands chicken showed up a little later, there were lots of apologies, and he was in heaven. It was a great fried chicken, and c'mon, Pork. Fat. Fries. Our drinks were never empty (Bourbon Smash & Aperol Spritz), when we would be getting low, we'd be asked by not just Hector, any server, if we wanted another... This place was amazing. Not only is it run smoothly, but the food is stellar to go with fantastic front of house service. No sacrifices are being made here.. Can't wait to go back and try more food/menus!

very surprised by the reviews here, i thought for the price the food would be much better as well as the service. The steak was OK small and the veggies were hard and barely cooked, the salmon was fine but again i think for the price it should be much better, apparently the HH and brunch is good. Wagyu Hanger $37.25 sweep potato, rapini, gota cheese gratin Salmon $37.00 butternut squash, local greens, bacon, chili hazelnut

If you are asking yourself where to go for Brunch or dinner in Denver....go to Old Major!! To me one of the best places in the city, the service and the quality of the food was spectacular. Thank you!!!

This place was great. Steak (prime ribeye enough for 3 people), made from scratch ham biscuit sandwich, charcuterie board, swine sampler, roasted cauliflower, and lobster risotto were all so tasty and high quality. The portion sizes and presentation was great. The staff and service was top of the line and they are all friendly. Kitchen was open and kept very clean. Plenty of wine, cocktail, and local craft beer options. They have a bar with a couple TVs, plus a good spot for friends or a date. If you are visiting Denver I highly recommend the place.

So all in all the food here is AMAZING!!! BUT ....due to the lack of a crowd favorite (albeit maybe a year or two removed) I have to only give this place four stars! Once the LOBSTER POUTINE is placed back on the menu, I will revisit this review and rightfully so; give this amazing restaurant 5 stars!!!! Ps WINDY CITY the duck FAT fries were AMAZING, but definitely not the POUTINE!! TO ALL, SHOW UP AND ENJOY... AND HOPEFULLY THE POUTINE WILL BE ON THE MENU!

My breakfast sandwich here was great! A bit on the pricier end, but the ingredients that made my meal were on point. Such a juicy sandwich and the sweet potatoes were a lovely addition. The vibes here are great, we sat outdoors and the weather was wonderful. Service was solid and we'd definitely go back for a brunch!
