Can’t say enough good things about this place. We went for dinner and we had the most amazing knowledgeable server. We decided to let him guide our meal with his suggestions on what is popular and we had no regrets! Rarely do I enjoy every bite of a meal like this. Highly recommend you try this strategy if the budget allows! Excellent ?

Amazing, just amazing. We did the omakase and our server helped us come up with a curated menu just for ourselves. It was some of the best food I've ever eaten. The flavors were perfectly curated.

As a resident of the building, we have spent thousands of dollars at Matsuhisa. And up until the last visit we were very pleased overall. Although the quality on some items declined slightly, and the portions appear smaller, there was overall satisfaction. That said, my last visit a few weeks ago was extremely disappointing. For the first time when sitting at the bar, a place I have sat at dozens of times, I was told I would be displaced if I was not on the wait list; even though the bar was not full! First time ever sitting at 2 empty seats, I get told that right off the bat. The bartenders there should have remembered I am a frequent customer who has always been kind and generous with tips. But they disregarded my existence, and I decided to close my tab after one round of drinks. Then, I thought, hmmm... why I don't I get on the wait list for the bar. I tell the manager I would like to get on the wait list for the bar, and sure enough, we got seated.... AT THE BAR! It may be some semantical rule they had, but it was a slower Tuesday night, and it was disappointing to get treated that way. The servers treated my rudely thereon after; but I could not help but laugh at how less and less crowded the bar got to where there were 6 seats in a row moments after we got "off the wait list." The manager was so rude and disrespectful and I was being kind the whole time in explaining how after 20+ visits I had never been treated so rudely. He must have been new.The sushi is good but does not meet the value of the pricing. Unless you are getting all the top level orders off the special menu, you are getting AVERAGE sushi. Smaller rolls overall, the lamb has dropped, but I will say drinks are always SUPERB. There is one really nice bartender there but the other guys who are normally there were just simply out of line. There are plenty of excellent sushi places to go to such as Sushi Den (which is much more modern and pleasing inside, and Hapa to name a couple. These places use more fish in their rolls, cost a lot less, and they don't have the arrogance that precedes Matsu. I think Matsu had an overhaul with their chefs, and are maybe relying on the name and celeb status. But if it was so good, where's the Michelin Star???Be smart with your money. You'll thank your wallet!

Hi. I've visited your restaurants in Aspen and NYC many times and the experience in Denver was a bit disappointing. Edemame seemed a little under steamed, rock shrimp (creamy spicy) was a little under cooked and had a very limey taste. Soft shell crab roll seemed dry chicken skewers were way over salted, udon soup was great. Maybe the kitchen was having an off night. IDK. Probably won't visit this location again.

The waiter was excellent. He gave us the best suggestion and the right amount to get for 5 people, especially when something is really good so we need two or more orders! The food is second to none. My one wine who does not normally eat fish, will at Matsuhisa. Every bite is delectable. My son's girlfriend took one bite of her toro sashimi and began crying because she couldn't believe how delicious it was! The cocktail drinks are just as amazing in taste and presentation, as the food!

David is amazing everything he picked was spot on. My national makeup artist was in from Chicago and has been to every Nobu in the country and this blew his mind. Over the top Experience.

Absolutely 5 stars.. just amazing, from start to finish, extremely friendly and professional staff, everything was on time, every dish was phenomenal, we ordered lamb chops we ordered sushi rolls, sake, edamame and more. Not one dish came out bad. This is on my top 5 restaurants hands down. Kim was assisting us, knowledgeable on everything on the menu, professional and friendly. All in all, this place is definitely worth the hype!

If it weren’t for the food, I would give one star. The food is outstanding but the service at the bar is really hit and miss depending on the bartenders moods. Multiple times they’ve told us they’re comping us something but they still leave the charge on the final bill and who has the energy to point out they charged you for things they said was on the house. It’s awkward. And there’s one bartender who always is grumpy and mopey, he needs to go. It’s an upscale restaurant with amazing food, the service needs to step it up with consistency and attitude.

First off, as expected the food was great! I would give it 5 stars if I was able to even enjoy it. So they let us book a 9:30pm reservation, when we sat down they told us the kitchen will close in 20 minutes? So they rushed the hell out of us and we had to quickly scarf our food down. This is a place where the average dine time is around 2 hours. So if you can’t serve food past 9:30 then don’t allow people to book a reservation at that time! This was for a 30th bday, so a VERY special occasion, and this was my very first time here. And unfortunately this just has to be my first time dining experience.UPDATE: they still have never even offered to remedy the situation. I will literally never be back.
