The cake was good I would have liked more cream cheese filling because I loved the flavor. The strawberry cake was good but a little bit dry. They totally got my design, right I love the decoration and the writing. They were extremely helpful with figuring out the size of cake because the original size I wanted was too small for the writing. I appreciated their open communication and quick responses.

Ordered a candy cane vanilla cupcake. No flavor whatsoever. The peppermint was only crushed candy canes on top. The Swiss buttercream? I found greasy and I’d be surprised if real butter was used. The vanilla cupcake lacked good flavor but tasted like a box mix. Weird aftertaste. Also was not quite baked fully. For a $5. Cupcake it was not worth it. It’s not worth $3.50.

Horrible customer service! Do not waste your time or money here! I tried to get 6 cupcakes delivered within .5 mile of the shop. On the bakery’s website it specifically says will do deliveries for orders over $30. When I called the bakery refused to honor this and said they will only deliver a minimum of a dozen cupcakes ($50) and charge a $10 delivery fee. They suggested I use grub hub. I placed an order with grub hub which was canceled because the hours the bakery listed with the delivery service were wrong (said they were closed). This was true for all delivery companies. When I called the bakery and explained this, they still refused to deliver anything less than 12 cupcakes even after I offered to pay a delivery fee. I am out of state and was over a barrel with time so I agreed to buy 12 cupcakes, when I asked if they could give any kind of discount for the hassle the bakery yelled at me and threatened to refuse the order. This was after I explained to them it was a birthday gift for a friend I was supposed to visit but I had ended up in the hospital and couldn’t travel. I also got a call from Grub Hin detailing how they had called the Bakery multiple times to figure out the order but no one answered. Go some place where the business actually cares about their customers. Nothing is sweet enough to wash away the bitter taste of this bad of customer service.

Mermaid Bakery provided such amazing service and the most absolutely delicious GLUTEN FREE cake for a graduation! It’s pretty hard to find a bakery that does gluten free, let alone a personalized gluten free cake. The graduate was awestruck over the cake in both decoration & flavor. Half the party didn’t even notice that it was gluten free, it was that good! On top of everything, the service was above and beyond. Diana was super helpful during the consultation! She also was super adaptive during an issue that the venue. Will definitely be a repeat customer!

Don't waste your time going all the way downtown and paying for parking without calling first. Sure, if you want less than a dozen they can only be picked in store. But while they may say that they "open" at 8:30a, they don't actually have anything in stock for at least a couple of hours after that.
