New York Deli News is an iconic spot known for its world-class sandwiches. The menu offers a large variety, including the must-try Pastrami Reuben. The mimosas are served generously, not too juice-heavy. Lunch is highly recommended, with fantastic Reubens, pastrami, and corned beef. The service is exceptional, and the French dip is a good choice, with great meat but a slightly dry bun. Prices can be a bit high, but the onion rings are worth it.
The food is great and reminds customers of homemade cooking. The Pastrami is delicious, and the Matza ball soup is like homemade. The Reuben sandwich is a specialty item, and the salmon locks on the everything bagel are hard to find elsewhere. The challah French toast with bacon and coffee is okay, but the syrup is processed corn syrup instead of maple, and the booths are a little cramped. However, the service is prompt, friendly, and efficient, and there is ample parking behind the building.
