This is the best Italian restaurant in Denver. Hands.Down.So.Bomb. The asparagus & artichoke ravioli is the best dish you will have in your entire life. The owner is awesome & very personal and the rest of the staff is delightful.

Service, ambiance, and food was amazing! I gave 4 stars vs 5 because the lobster ravioli only came with 6 raviolis for $29. I guess it makes sense because it is lobster afterall but I was expecting more bang for my buck. The flavor was awesome and it was a light meal that didn't leave me feeling stuffed so I guess it has that going for it. Definitely recommend this place for homemade Italian dining. Family/kid friendly establishment.

The pizza dough was not very good. Tasted like it was frozen and not freshly made. The claims and pasta was just OK. Service was on the slow side,

We ordered from this restaurant for the first time. I Love lasagna… and the lasagna at Nonna’s was very good- hearty portion, great gravy (sauce) plenty of cheese, and meat. It definitely filled me up. It came with a nice side salad and thinly sliced garlic bread that was very tasty. If you are craving some great Italian food, I would highly recommend stopping in for a bite to eat at Nonna’s Chicago Bistro ..

We always have a good time at this place! The food is always amazing and the staff are always friendly and attentive. What really brings us back is the ambiance and intimate vibe of this place. We loved it when they had someone playing the piano and wish they would do it more often.Hidden gem so don't tell too many ppl about it!

Loved the wait staff and cool, clean, atmosphere. The owner works alongside his employees and is very personable. I had the spaghetti and meatballs which were made with high quality local meatballs from a house, not a commercial restaurant supplier. I highly recommend visiting.

This place gave me the ‘Italian dive bar’ type of vibe, which I mean affectionately. Good atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff, and good food made our visit worthwhile. We will definitely visit again.

Both the soup and entre ( chicken marsala ) were too salty. I'm not over-sensitive. I don't order fries without salt. Not a complaint you will see in all my reviews, as it doesn't happen often. But ehhh, yeah. Too much salt. Salt should enhance flavor, not dominate it.Pasta cooked right, not over-cooked. That was fine. In this price-range I prefer Odyssey or Gaetano's.

This place was amazing! Hands down the BEST lasagna I've ever had. The service and atmosphere were great as well.

Small quaint place that packs outbound flavors. I felt like I was back home in Chi-town in little Italy. Greeted and treated like we were family. We as a party shared each other's plates, that tells you the portions sizes. Every single dish was homemade, the pasta made my wife say this is how I want it to taste at home. The Italian beef was the largest beef I ever had and ranks in my top 3 beefs I ever had. The desert was phenomenal. I did not care if I was seen licking my plate. ? I can't wait to go back.

We’ve been going here for sentimental reasons for over five years now. Not only is the food consistently exceptional, the service is wonderful. We had Serena tonight. She was patient and thoughtful with our two year old. Really amazing.

I dined here this past weekend. I recommend reservations on the weekend. They're not on the Open Table network nor are there online reservations. Call the restaurant to book your reservation. This establishment is a nice mom & pop restaurant. Serene waited on me and she had the patience of a saint. She was very warm and friendly as well. The interior of this place is clean and it's a medium sized restaurant. Not too big and not too small. They made good use of the space. It's located in a small strip mall in Denver. I ordered the Madd Pasta. It's penne pasta with sausage, peppers and onions in a delicious gravy sauce. I recommend asking for plenty of Parmesan cheese to go on top. I also ordered a house salad with ranch dressing. Salad was good but nothing special. They also serve homemade garlic bread with a small bowl of red gravy for dipping. I passed on alcoholic beverages. They offer a nice drink menu. Also, I love how the kitchen is located very close to the dining area. There is a nice shelf area where chef staff pass entrees and appetizers through. I didn't order an appetizer but from looking at others' appetizers, they looked good. I would order the stuffed mushrooms if I went here again.I ordered dessert as well. All of their desserts are homemade. I decided on the Limoncello Cake. It's served with a nice side of homemade whipped cream. It was average. I felt the cake was a bit too dried out for me. I wouldn't order it again. They also offer tiramisu, crème brûlée (this evening it was pumpkin which I never heard of for crème brûlée) and a nice assortment of other sweets. I passed on coffee. I am curious how good their coffee is. I've been to many Italian restaurants that offer superb coffee. When Serene placed the bill on my table, she expressed gratitude (heartfelt) for my patience. I felt that this was a beautiful gesture and sincere. I would return here just for the level of service I received. My bill was reasonable as well. Overall, I had a nice experience here. So glad I decided to visit! If you're visiting or local, I recommend checking out Nonna's. It has a nice "home style" feel that will leave you smiling and satisfied. Enjoy!

I tried to call and make reservations but didn't get an answer. We went anyway and Brian host/ manager was able to get us a booth anyway. I'm so glad he did. Food was nice and atmosphere was okay even before the live jazz band began. Which was not too loud and very enjoyable. I had purchased a Groupon which is what brought us there and it made the dinner extremely affordable. bread and marinara sauce to start, 2 entrees soup or salad and a soft drink, we had iced tea all for around $25. I myself had chicken Marsala and my partner had some sort of spicy sausage pasta, which really was not very spicy. Overall it was great atmosphere and okay food made very affordable with a Groupon.Vegetarian options: They had vegetarian options on the menu

My husband found Nina’s on Groupon, and being from Chicago, bought it. Then we realized it was on the other side of town, so we sat on it for a couple of months. Then we had an event sort of in the area so we went over after and boy am I glad we did.Ninja’s has an old-school feel to it. It felt like somewhere I would have gone with my parents as a kid. My husband said it felt like Goodfellas could have been filmed there, so I’m not sure what that says about my childhood. Anyway. If you buy the Groupon- and you should- be aware that you can’t order off the regular menu AND that you have to tell the host that you have a Groupon (we’d never had to do that before). So, my Eggplant Parmigiana was delish- crispy, fluffy eggplant and my side salad exceeded expectations. My husband liked his lasagna and his minestrone. My 2 year announced part way through the dinner that he “was enjoying this restaurant “. High praise. Although we definitely didn’t need it, we split the Chocolate Lava Cake and it ended up being a strong choice. Also, bots if wine are half off on Wednesdays…so see you soon (on a Wednesday) Nonna’s!!
